Footsteps. Leaking pipe. Pounding in my head.
I shot my eyes open in a panicked sweat. I looked at myself, seeing I was tied down to a chair. I looked beside, and Noah was there as well, same situation as me, but asleep. I tried calling his name, but my mouth was taped. I stomped my feet, which were also tied together. After a few minutes of trying to wake Noah up, I gave up and slumped in my chair, making me even more uncomfortable. I licked the tape, getting it wet enough to fall off my face.
"Noah!" I whispered-yelled. He stirred a tiny bit, but he didn't wake up.
"Noah!" I shouted. He slightly opened his eyes, but then they went wide when he saw what was going on.
"Lick the tape, it's easy to get it off when wet." I stated. I saw the dent of his tongue rolling around the tape, until I saw all of it come off his face.
"What the heck is going on?" He asked. I shrugged, but I think someone was about to answer our question. I heard the sound of fancy shoes tapping towards us, and I knew exactly who those belonged to.
"Why hello there! I see you two have settled in, quite... comfortably!" Brendon placed his hands behind his back and leaned in, a smile on his face but a hint of malice in his eyes. I looked over at Noah, who was scared s**tless.
"Hmm, seems you're not worried, my beloved child." He remarked, walking over to me. "Why so?" His hand trailed down my cheek. I flinched, and he smirked.
"I'm just not worried, what's wrong with that?" I spat. He walked backwards, slowly, and glared me, but turned his gaze to Noah.
"And here, it seems you're too scared. Why's that?" Brendon intrigued. Noah furrowed his eyebrows and avoided his gaze, until Brendon grabbed his chin and forced him to look at him.
"I'd much appreciate it if you answered me when I asked you a question." Brendon scolded. Noah coward back and I was left to defend him.
"Chill! He's a kid, we're all scared sometimes, jeez man!" I rolled my eyes. Brendon walked over to me, squatting down so he was the same height as me. We were face to face, only the thin line of air separating our faces. I saw his gloved hand, and just rolled my eyes at that.
"Maybe you should quit rolling your eyes before they roll out of your head!" He threatened. I scoffed and stared him down.
"If they roll out of my head then I do t have to look at you, and I'm fine with that!" Suddenly, I felt a big thing of latex come across my face. It stung, then the feeling went to burning. I fought back tears, but they escaped so easily.
"If you talk back the only back you're gonna get is the back of my hand slapping you even harder!" He, yet again, threatened me.
"So, umm, Brendon. Or as I should call you, dad. Why are you doing this? And why to Noah and me?" I inquired.
"Because I can, and no one will find out. So we'll have... so much fun..." he grinned at me. I felt my stomach sink, and the dry tears on my face weren't comfortable. I looked at Noah again. I just wanted to protect him. But... being trapped here as well doesn't help.
"Can I crack a deal with you?" I asked. Brendon looked at me, raising an eyebrow. He snapped his gloves back on and walked over to me.
"I'd be interested to listen to it, go on..." he trailed off, signalling for me to continue. I looked over at Noah and sent him a smile.
"Do whatever you want to me, but let Noah go!" I said.
"Faelecia!" Noah shouted. Brendon seemed surprise, and he pondered on the idea.
"Noah, please, it's fine! As long as your safe!" I teared up. Brendon walked over to the middle of us, and abruptly stabbed a needle in Noah's neck.
"Noah!" I yelled.
"Calm the f**k down, it's just a tranquilizer. I don't want him to see what's about to happen to you." Brendon informed. He started undoing my straps, then grabbing my arms and pulling me to a room with weapons hung all over the walls.
"I'll be back tomorrow. Be. Ready"
