the whole spiral started with a twitter dm.

"Hey, guys!" Chloe waved to the camera as she loaded Dead By Daylight up. Immediately people started watching her stream and sending messages in the chat. It made her smile wider as she adjusted her camera. "Today we are going to be surviving and, um, we'll see how it goes, I guess. I really want to play against the Huntress!"
She'd hit two thousand viewers within the first minute, ten thousand within the first five. Her game loaded up quickly – whenever she was on there were many lobbies to join because people wanted to play a game with her – and she was ready to play.
Her accent lilted as she spoke and immediately the chat flooded with comments on how much people liked it. She was about to say something about it when her game loaded up and did the panorama of Meg standing in the Ironworks of Misery.
And the game began.
The reason people like to watch Chloe play is because she nearly always survives. Sometimes she follows the killer around to entertain herself. When she's hooked she escapes (either from attempted escape or a rescue); and when she escapes from the killer it is usually in some unexpected and spectacular way that would make one think that it's staged.
It's not, she's just good at the game. And lucky.
She also enjoys exploring glitches in the game and trying out new ways to get rid of the killer on her tail. People love her streams, and fortunately they are quite frequent.
I won't lie when I say that when Simon sees that Chloe is live he loads the game up himself to try and get a chance to play either with her or against her. He's a massive fan of her.
She doesn't stream many other games but has said before that she would like to. Chloe has a YouTube channel, but it's only for uploading the footage from her streams. She saves only the best ones on her Twitch and edits them for people to watch. Her YouTube is for the raw footage.
Simon soon decided it would be a better idea to DM Chloe, and as soon as the stream was over he typed out his message and sent it, hoping she'd see it and hoping she'd reply.
This is where the spiral began.

twitter: new message from @miniminter (19th of January, 2017)
hey!! i'm a gaming youtuber and i'm a fan of your dbd streams on twitch and i was wondering if you wanted to play the game with us sometime for one of my videos?? thanks 😊
Chloe vaguely recognised the guy as someone who'd followed her a while back and who people sometimes mentioned in her chat. She'd never actually had a look at his channel but she'd seen his twitch. He didn't use it much, and she didn't follow him.
She thought his idea sounded good; after all it meant that more people would watch her streams.
uh yes ofc. just link me your skype and then i'm free whenever tbh
as long as you stream with me to make it fair
On the other side of the DM, Simon could not quite believe it. One of his favourite streamers had not only agreed to film a video with him, but also requested he stream with her for her Twitch. He felt a smile grow on his face as he brought up his iMessage to tell Casey the news.
