Shraddha's POV
I go to Deepika Di's house, I take Shanaya with me as Sidharth's busy watching football. Deepika Di puts on cartoons for Shanaya to watch.
"Di...can I ask you something?"
"Yeah."
"What were mum and dad like?" I ask.
"They were the best parents ever. They loved us more than anything and did everything to make sure we have a happy luxurious life." She smiles.
"I can't remember much, but I do remember little flashbacks but they're not that clear. I just wish I could go back and relive the moments we had with Mum and Dad." I say as my eyes tear up.
"You and Alia were spoilt to death. I remember everything you two seen and liked Dad would get it straight away. He'd always have to get 2 sets of everything because you both would throw tantrums and fight." She laughs.
Varun's POV
"Um Varun..." Alia hesitates.
"I'm sorry Varun I can't." She says.
"Why?" I ask as I stand up confused.
"I want to pursue my career, it's not that I don't want to marry you. I honestly do but I don't know if I'm ready to take up the responsibility for it just yet. Do you get what I mean?"
"No not really.." I state.
"I definitely want to get married to you. But I think we're too young. I'm thinking to study a little more and fight cases. After winning the case about the custody of Shanaya I have gained a lot of confidence and I want to prove that I'm capable of being a lawyer." She explains.
"Oh ok." I say a little disheartened.
"It's only for a year Varun. A year will fly by before you know it."
Shraddha's POV
I decide to go Costa before I go home. As I'm walking out with Shanaya in her push chair someone calls out to me.
"Shraddha?.."
I turn around. It's Katrina. I start walking away but she stops me by holding onto the push chair.
"Can I talk to you?" She asks.
"What do you want to talk about huh?" I ask annoyed.
"Look Shraddha whatever I did I did it for a reason. It's just too complicated to explain. But I don't regret leaving Shanaya at Sidharth's doorstep." She says.
"What?"
"Yeah Shraddha I don't regret it! Not even one bit. Do you know why?"
"Why?"
"Because she got love from her father, uncle and...mother." She says.
"Your her mother." I say.
"No, you've given her more love than I ever having despite the fact that your not her mother. I just want to ask you if...." she starts stuttering.
My phone suddenly rings. "One sec."
I answer the call.
"Shraddha where are you?" Sidharth asks.
"I'm just grabbing some coffee and I'll be on my way home." I say.
"Hurry up! I'm missing Shanaya." He whines.
"Your missing Shanaya what about me?"
"I miss you too!"
"I'll see you in a bit." I end the call.
"Was that Sidharth?"
"Yep."
"You two make an amazing couple."
"What did you want to ask?"
"Can I come to see Shanaya at least once a month?"
"Look Katrina...."
"Please Shraddha just once a month? I just want to see my daughter grow up."
Alia's POV
Varun suddenly becomes very quiet.
"Varun?!" I ask snapping him out his thoughts.
"Yeah."
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"In this year we can prepare for the wedding. And then have a great wedding. Can we just wait a year?" I ask.
"Alia...."
"It's okay then forget me you can get on with your life and marry another girl." I joke.
"I will never do that!" He says.
"So can we wait for a year?" I ask.
Oh no Katrina's back! Will Shraddha agree to let her visit Shanaya? Should she let her or will Katrina cause trouble? Will Varun agree to wait for a year?
