*Kevin's POV*

My hand began to press on the trigger...

"Wait!" I heard a voice from behind me. A cold hand pulled me back, causing the bullet to fly to the ceiling.

I stood up and turned around. "Avery?! How did you get here?!"

*Mitch's POV*

I couldn't look. I wasn't looking. He was supposed to shoot me, but someone stopped him. Who? Why?

I looked up. "Avery?!" Kevin said.

What? Avery? Why would she save me?

"Avery?" I whispered. "Why...wha..."

She was already in tears. "Mitch- You.. I ... I didn't want you...t-to...really..." She sobbed. "I said I h-hated y-you. I d-don't Mitch. I love you so much. I love you..... " She walked over and gave me a hug.

"H-how did you get here? How did you know where we were?"

"Well," she sniffed, standing up. "I was walking to school-"

"Wait! But it's Saturday."

"Mitch, you were missing for umm... three days."

What?! How is that possible?!

"I was walking to school, and.. I heard a scream. I know what you sound like when you screamed, Mitch, so I came over here and looked around. The door was unlocked and I could hear Kevin, too. Mitch don't yell at me. I know I'm not supposed to do this.." she sniffed again, "I came in here. There were stairs and I could here you guys down them, so I walked down and.. I saw Kevin pointing a gun at you."

Wow.

"I....uh" I didn't know what to say.

"Im sorry!" Shouted Kevin, on the floor crying. "I'm so so sorry! Please don't hurt me!" I was confused. Why would we hurt him?

Then I saw a man behind him. A tall, skinny man dressed in black. I couldn't see his face. (He looked like slendy.)

Thomas.

"Thomas?" I stood up and asked.

"You should've gone a while ago. Your dumb little friend is gonna get it too. Both of em'"

Uh oh.

But then I heard sirens. Like police cars. I heard footsteps run around upstairs. "DOWN HERE!" Avery screamed.

"No-" I tried to grab her away. Thomas lounged at her.

"You shut up you little bit-"

"STOP! GET OFF HER!" An officer threw open the door. Thank God. I looked at Avery. She grinned at me and shook her cell phone at me. I smiled back and laughed.

I was untied and cleaned up, but I stayed at the hospital. Not because I was hurt, I only had minor scratches. No, I stayed at the hospital for Avi.

But we weren't visiting. We were picking him up and taking him home!
