WHAT?!?!

*Mitch's POV*

After Scott told Avi what happened, I had a few questions about it myself.

"So Thomas is in jail?" Abi asked for me.

"Yup" Kirstie said, popping the 'p'

"And Kevin...." Avi questioned. He looked over at Kevin.

"They are still deciding. I'm an accomplice, but I was threatened....."

Oh. Okay then!

Just then there was a knock at the door. It was a police officer.

"Mitch Grassi, am I correct?" he said

"Yes"

"We are here to inform you that your brother Thomas had a daughter."

"WHAT?!"

" Yes. Your niece. She was born a few months ago... "

"What?! How do you know? Why are you-"

"She was found when we searched the basement that you were kept in."

"Oh."

"the mother left them. right after she was born. She is your niece, and we need someone to take care of he-"

"No. No way. I have no time for a baby." I almost slammed the door in his face. What was he thinking? I am 21 years old and I have a life! is he crazy?!

I was interrupted by Kirstie.

"Mitch, you have to! Your her only family-"

"No! I am busy! I have a life! My brother just went to jail, all my friends are finally conscious, and now you decide to screw up my life for a second time with a surprise baby? NO!"

"Then what will he do?"

I didn't know. I actually didn't. All I did know was whatever he would do, it would be better that living with me. Now at this point the officer was looking at me like, 'yeah! what WOULD he do! huh?!'

"I will come over and help. Every day. I promise. Mitch, you can do it. And once she gets older, it won't be as hard."

Hmmm.......

"Fine"

*Kirstie's POV*

Just as we were all sure nobody's life could be screwed up any farther, BOOM!

A baby.

Wow. This would happen to Mitch. I mean, I feel really bad for him, he has to go through all this. It was his brother, me, Avi and Kevin. So I told him I would help him.

But I know that was a big decision.

**********Three weeks later**********

This is going to be our first week with the child. Oh no.

She is adorable, with hair and eyes the color of Mitch's, and the cubbiest cheeks ever! I couldn't stop playing with her! Mitch refused to touch her though.

"Mitch...."

"Hmm?"

"What's wrong?"

He sighed. "I...this is crazy! What ate the chances, Kirstie! I suck at this! I...I just..." he sighed again.

Poor Mitch....

*Mitch's POV*

Hey! A kid! Just what I needed..

I guess I could try and help.

"What's her name?" Kirstie asked.

"Lola," I replied. It actually is a cute name. She is so chubby, it's adorable.

No. Do I ? I do love this kid.

It'll just be hard. Really hard.
