I woke up bright and early to yelling downstairs. I quickly rushed out of my bed and ran down the stairs at full speed. I had just reached downstairs when I saw my dad punch Daniel in the face. Oh god. "DANIEL!" I ran up to him. I quickly looked him over and saw a nasty bruise forming. I looked up and saw my dad looking really angry. That's when I lost it "HOW COULD YOU! " I yelled at him. "You know what?! IM LEAVING! GOOD-BYE! Just Remember YOU BROKE ME!" I yelled in his face. With all my strength I pushed him to the ground. He passed out. I grabbed onto Daniel and helped him up we walked to his house and went up to the bathroom. "Where's Anna?" I asked. "She left with my mom" he said looking down. I pulled him into the bathroom and studied his eye. The skin on his cheek had split, leaving a bloodied wound. I got the first aid kit and started cleaning the cut. He winced and I put my hand on his shoulder comfortingly. He looked into my eyes and I looked right back into his. We both started leaning in, preparing for what could be the worst, or the best decision of our life's. all of a sudden the door opens and I jump back just in time. I see Anna there. "Woo! I thought you guys were kissing or something" she chuckled to herself. "N-no... We wouldn't do that" I stuttered a little. Both Anna and Daniel were staring at me. I blushed a bit. I finished cleaning Daniels cuts and grabbed an ice pack. As I went upstairs I heard Anna and Daniel talking "stop hitting on my friend" she growled " I can't help it she's so beautiful..." he trailed off. I was surprised yet I didn't know exactly how I felt about him yet. I went into the bathroom as if I heard nothing. I gave him the ice pack and Anna literally dragged me out of the bathroom. "What?!" I said surprised. She continued to pull me into her room. "Ow!" I said when she squeezed my arm. She's never acted like this. She sighed and apologized. "I'm just upset."
I placed my hand in her shoulder "about what?" I asked her, even though I already knew. She got up and closed her door. Then we went through her window onto the roof. It's where we always go to talk. "Daniel likes you, but I don't want him to take my best friend away from me" she said crying slightly. I acted a bit shocked but then hugged her "Anna... Nothing in the universe can take me away from you." I said softly. "Forever and for always?" I said holding my pinky out. She smiled "forever and for always!" She said hugging me and locking her pinky with mine. "Trust me, if I were to get a boyfriend, I would still hang out with you just as much as now. Even if it was your brother" I quickly covered my mouth realizing I just confessed to her that I liked Daniel. "Um, I-I m-mean umm" she cut me off by holding her hand up. Then she quickly ran into the house. Not point in chasing her because she lives with him so she would tell him no matter what I do. I just held my head in my hands not really doing anything. "Why the heck would you say that you idiot!" I said to my self. "Stupid stupid stupid!" I said to myself while I smacked my forehead. I heard a chuckle and looked up to see Daniel. "Hey" I said dragging out the e. "Hi" he said dragging out the i. I patted the spot next to me and he sat right beside me. "So I heard you like me?"
He said to me "and I heard you like me" I said back to him. We both laughed a little bit. We talked a bit and just decided to stay friends for a while. It didn't necessarily break my heart, but it did hurt a little. We went back in, and him being the gentleman he is, held out his hand for me to grab and helped me in. I thanked him. "Danny?" He turned to me"yeah?" He asked. "How do I tell Anna I need a place to stay?" I asked worried. "Just tell her. I'm sure she'll understand." He told me wisely. I walked downstairs and saw Anna waiting on the couch, watching tv and eating popcorn. "H-hey Anna" I said. She turned to me "yeah?" She asked. I explained everything, from when I was five up to now. She just breathed in sharply. "I'm so so sorry!" She said hugging me. I hugged back. "I was wondering what happened to Daniel" she said. "So...?" I asked trying not to push. "Of course! Stay as long as you want! Why wouldn't I let you stay?!" I giggled a little and hugged her. "Thank you so so much!" I squeezed her "can't... breathe!" She said. "Oops?" I said shrugging my shoulders. She laughed and pushed me lightly. She called Daniel down and we watched "EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING" it was halfway through the movie and I was really tired. I forgot which side Anna was on, so I just guessed. I soon fell into a deep sleep.
