NOTE: The characters will not all correspond with the book and this is unrealistic so I realize that some of the characters are not all portrayed like this.
"Jace, you've got to be kidding me." I looked down at my watch. 11:45.
We were planning on to Central Park hours ago to meet Simon and Clary. Jace was too caught up finishing new music and doing God knows what.
"Isabelle for fucks sake, calm down." Jace retorted. I walked through the door to outside and slipped into the drivers seat. Moments later, Jace was behind me.
"They probably left us, thanks to you." I started the engine and peeled onto the highway.
"It'll take us even longer if you get pulled over, Isabelle." His voice sounded sharp.
Jace and I never have really gotten along. It wasn't that we had a rough history, it was just how it worked. Don't get me wrong, he'd do anything for me, and I'd do anything for him, but he wasn't necessarily friendly. Until it came to Clary.
We sped down the freeway inching closer to Central Park. I could feel my stomach twisting. I haven't seen Simon in months. He practically vanished and chose not to tell anyone why. He kept in touch with me, but he never visited.
I turned left into the Central Park. I parked my car and started walking with Jace. I felt my heart slowing down and then speeding up again, as if it was warning me about something. I started to get the chills, and then I realized why. It was only 40 degrees out, and I was wearing a snug pair of leather leggings, a black t-shirt, and a pair of too worn out combat boots. I was almost too nervous to wear something too different for Simon's sake.
I still don't know why I was trying to impress him, he was right under my fingertips, I just never realized it.
"Isabelle, they're right over there." Jace pointed somewhere where there was two benches surrounded by trees.
I saw him. Simon was sitting on the bench beside Clary. I felt my whole body warm up. No matter how far away or how close I was to him, Simon had control over me. I saw Jace run towards Clary.
Simon was left staring at me. He was wearing a plain grey sweatshirt and blue jeans. His glasses looked just as crooked as his smile. I walked up to him and gave him the biggest hug I was capable of giving. He pulled away and smiled at me.
Simon is the only person capable of making me weak.
