Push

I push, and push, and push
People away

So I won't feel 
The rush of my heart beating
Again

Because the last person drained me 
Of logic and wisdom

Implanted a blind faith
To love without reason

I push, and push, and push
People away

And yet I hope they stay
Look into my eyes and know
I don't mean what I say

But the good ones and the bad ones
They all walk away

A little nudge, a little shove
That's all it takes
To throw my love away
