She was a mountain
Her face a marble slate
But they didn't see
When every time it rained
She lost a small part of herself
It took years of tears
To erode a mountain
To a pebble
It took years of standing in the past
For the butterfly to forget how to fly
To climb back into her cocoon
Where the world would forget
But she would always remember
