Jump

My friend told me there's a door to the roof
Three floors up
There's a chain on the door
But the door's unlocked
She said it's quiet up there
Calm and peaceful
Looking over the edge at the ground below
No one notices her up there
No one notices her anywhere she says
What would happen if I jumped? she asks
Would anyone care?
I tell her I would care
But she doesn't hear me
I've always wanted to fly she said
Maybe it's time I tried
And it's okay if I fall
At least I'll know I tried
