Finally, I had conjured up enough bravery to stand up to Angelica.

I needed to know why she acted the way she did towards me yesterday. She seemed so angry, and I'd been concerned for awhile wether she liked me or not, and for what reason if she somehow didn't.

At lunch, I reluctantly went up to her, but my anger kicked in when I saw her gentle face.

"Why were you mad at me yesterday?" I huffed.

"Pardon? I don't recall being even remotely angry with you," she said gently. I just got more mad by this.

"But you looked like you were infuriated with me..." She just shrugged, smiling sweetly.

"I guess it just depends on how you look at it," she said quietly. I stood there for a moment; she was right. Maybe I was imagining it. I quietly apologized and sat down at my table. My friends looked over to me for a minute, mere confusion on their faces, then went back to ranting on about their days so far.

I was glad she didn't hate me. But I needed to find out more about her. I was thinking of having her over today. That would make it improbable that she'd spill anyway. I was determined. I was going to find out why her family was so perfect. Why she was so.... Angelic. And why, and how, she could possibly stay to calm all the time.
