The Fall

Today was a peculiar day.

Today we were going to a rock climbing place. It was said to be extremely dangerous, but apparently the Gym Teacher didn't give a care. This place was huge, one of the biggest rock climbing facilities in the world.

I decided to climb one. My hands were sweating like crazy. I was scared. I shook. I fell. I screamed like there was no tomorrow. It felt like forever, but I never hit the ground. Ever.

I felt something feathery touch my skin.

It was her. She caught me.

Angelica's face was almost intact with mine. Glowing white feathery wings caressed my body, along with her arms. I was paralyzed for a minute. Then, just like that, she wasn't there. She was staring at me from far away. I was standing stiff, a bit wobbly.

The weird thing was, no one noticed. No one even looked at me, nor Angelica. She faced her siblings, and they talked, immobile to me.

I decided to take it easy and climb the lower walls, always minding my place. I washed my hands each time I finished one, or wiped them off with a towel.

My mind was baffled. She really was an angel. I was confused most, though, when I found out I wasn't surprised about this. I should've been, but I wasn't.

I was going to figure this out.

One way, or another.
