I almost murdered my 12 year old sister when she came barging into my room at 10:00 at night with her laptop in her hands, my younger brother scampering in behind her.
"Hey Rowan!" She shrieked as I put my phone down to glare at her.
"Oh my god. Heather, Kade, what the heck are you doing in my room?!" I groaned.
"We're doing an experiment!" Heather announced.
"Okay cool, and why are you doing it in my room?!" I half yelled.
"Because we want you to be our test subject, duh." She grinned and Kade nodded his head enthusiastically.
"I feel honored." I rolled my eyes. "Okay, what's the experiment?" Heather plopped the computer in my lap and I looked at the screen. "What the heck is Wizard 101?"
"It's a game. Hans Jones says that it's cursed and we want to see if that's true." Heather crossed her arms. "So make an account please."
"You really believe that this game is cursed, Heather? That's childish. Curses don't exist." I shook my head.
"Pleaseeeeee." My little sister begged. "If it's not cursed then you have nothing to worry about."
"Fine." I groaned. "But you both have to promise to leave me alone!" I told them.
"I promise." Heather said while Kade signed the words.
I nodded and turned to the game, clicking 'make an account.' A Dumbledore looking person appeared on the screen with the name 'Headmaster Ambrose.'
"A-ha! Then spell is working!" He said in a hoarse voice. I looked at my siblings, annoyed before continuing. "Look, Gamma! Finally, we have found one!"
"This is so stupid." I muttered.
"Whoooo?!" An ugly owl said in a high pitched voice.
"A young wizard! A student with amazing potential...enough, perhaps, to save wizard city!"
"Oh really?" The owl asked. "Where?"
"Wow, a talking owl. I'm impressed." I gasped. "You're right, this game is cursed. Owls don't talk!"
"A very, very distant realm...my goodness! On a world that does not even believe in magic!" Headmaster Ambrose said.
"Well, he got one thing right." I mused.
"I wonder what manner of wizard they might become. Perhaps we should consult the book of secrets!"
"Headmaster Ambrose turns to regard you intently." A woman's voice said.
"Aghhhhhh!" I fake screamed. "Your computer talks!" Heather gave me an unamused look and I shrugged, continuing.
"Answer these questions to find out what type of wizard you are..." Dumbledore impersonator said. I began to answer the questions.
1. I like to spend my time...
I chose 'by myself.'
2. Which of these is the most powerful?
Plague, duh.
3. My favorite activity is...
Going to school to play with my friends.
Just kidding, it's reading.
4. What is your favorite time of day?
Night.
5. The most important thing in a story is...
All the characters, except for that one horrible villain you can't stand. (Like Umbridge)
6. What is your favorite animal?
DRAGON
7. What's your favorite gem stone?
I didn't know anything it was talking about so I just chose onyx because it sounded cool.
"Death wizard." I read aloud. "Cool. Death wizards are often solitary, driven, brave, and intelligent. Famous necromancers include Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein, and Ophelia. Death wizards use drains, taking strength from their enemies and healing themselves." I continued.
"My vision is failing me. Are you a boy or a girl?" Headmaster Ambrose asked.
"This guy should not be a headmaster if he's blind." I said, choosing girl.
"Now that we know what you are, what do you look like?" Ambrose continued.
I made my hair long and changed the color to white. I changed my face to the closest thing they had to a bitch face and made my skin tannish.
"Good, good. Now what do you wear?" Ambrose asked.
"Clothes, obviously." I scoffed and Both Heather and Kade rolled their eyes. The main color of my outfit I made black, then made the trim indigo.
"Alright then, what is your name?"
I scrolled through the name think before deciding that Rowan SilverBlade sounded okay enough. My character appeared on the screen and I handed the computer back to Heather. "There, are you happy? I played your stupid game."
"It's not stupid, it's cursed!" She said.
"It's not cursed! It's a dumb game! You shouldn't ever believe someone named Hans! Didn't Frozen teach you that or something? Now you promised to leave me alone, so go away!" I told them, pushing them out of my room and closing the door.
I went back to my phone, but slowly felt my self drift off to sleep. I had a weird dream. A voice kept saying "cursed, you're cursed" repeatedly.
Something white flashed in my eyes and I jolted awake.
"Well, hello! If it isn't our newest student!"
