Fionn's POV:

"Of course. Nothing's goin' to change between us."

"I should go, I'll catch up with you and the guys later." She gave me a half smile and left. I remained seated on the bench. I didn't know what to feel, her words stung me. I didn't want to be just friends, I wanted to be able to kiss her when I wanted and hold her in my arms. I guess there goes my wish.

After a few minutes I walked back to the lounge tent to eat lunch. I walked in and sat to eat while the other boys continued their conversations. I didn't talk much, I guess I hadn't let it all sink in. I know I shouldn't be upset, but I couldn't help myself. We've known each other for a little over a month, but she just seems like an amazing person. Maybe she'll change her mind soon.

" 'ey Fionny boy!" Jack came up to me as I was reading a book. He sat next to me and gave me a hard pat in the shoulder.

"Oi!" I said rubbing my shoulder.

"What's got ya' down lad?" He asked.

"Nothing mate, what do you mean?"

"Ya' an awful liar." He laughed at me. "Now what is it? Home troubles? Self troubles." I nodded my head no.

"Girl troubles?" I didn't say anything. "Is it Rosie?"

"This morning she told me that it's best if we remain only friends." I sighed.

"Oh mate, sorre' bout that." He patted my back. "Maybe she'll come 'round eh'?"

"Maybe."

Rosie's POV

Now that I had cleared everything up with Fionn I felt like I had finally let go of a huge bowling ball chained to my leg. Izzy and I were currently building a set piece and talking.

"So did you finally tell the boy?"

"I told him this morning after lunch."

"Did he take it well?" She asked painting over the wood.

"I'm guessing. He agreed that it's best not to date people you work with." It probably sounds bad but it hurt a bit that he took it so well. Maybe he didn't feel the same towards me as I did towards him.

"That's it?" I nodded.

"Well, now we can focus on this oh so wonderful set." She said sarcastically as we continued to paint. I laughed at her and went back to work. We then heard a squeal and turned to see Cindy running up to us.

"Hello there Miss Sunshine!" I said.

"What's got you all excited?" Izzy asked.

"These!" She said as she pulled out two envelopes from behind her. "One for you, aaaand one for you!" She handed us one each. I put the paint bucket down and grabbed the envelope after cleaning off my hands. I opened it and pulled out a beautiful invitation for Cindy and Derek's wedding.

"These are lovely!" Izzy gushed.

"Absolutely amazing!" I agreed. "It's coming up soon isn't it?" I asked.
