Flutter with nature's beauty imbibe,
Visit the flowers for nectar's bribe.
Colors of rainbow my wings,
Of my beauty the bird sings.

Once a merry forenoon,
Children of men and goons.
Enchanted by beauty swoon,
Playful, a sudden war ensued.

For beauty inspires aggression forth,
One caught me on flowers berth.
Colors of vivid giving them mirth,
From noon till dusk realised my worth.

The wings of freedom are no more,
For grovelling in sand an eye sore.
Whence I repose for last breath,
Trampled by merry men to death.

Butterflies of nature and butterflies of heart,
Meant to be loved, not torn apart.
