"Sara, sara, wake up! We have to go to your first english riding lesson!" I spring up immediately and a grin rises to my face. I go and catch Charlotte. I bring her back to the trailer. I brush and clean her. I load her into the trailer, and we are on our way! It takes us 20 minutes to get to carrie sue's house. When we arrive, I unload Charlotte and quickly re-brush Charlotte. I lead her to carrie's car, and she teaches me to saddle English. She helps me mount, and teaches me the basic. I walk two laps, posting trot 2 on the right diagnol and trot 2 on the left diagnol. I begin to canter and canter 3 laps. Carrie begins to instruct us. She sets ground poles and we trot and canter over the poles.....
I get to try my first jump! I gather my reins, get into position and soar over the half foot jump feeling like I'm 200 feet in the air. I jump a few times, and practice is over. Sara can't wait for the next practice.
