Lucewood
Okay so please ignore anything illogical about music, bc I'll just go for the music we have now thank uAlso yes, Lucy and Holly will flirt a lil
______________________"Come ooon guys!", Holly sighed, "You're working all the time. You're allowed to have fun, you know?"
George and I exchanged a look, he just shook his head and kept reading the newspaper.
We were sitting at the breakfast table, Lockwood was still asleep. It was the first day off in weeks and for some reason Holly wanted us to go to some party of Rotwell's, agents only.
I sighed, "Hol, we're not really party people. And except that, agents only? A bunch of little children running around, doesn't really sound fun to me."
Holly's eyes lit up, "No no! It's 16 and up! A few of the younger supervisors will go, too! Please guys, my friend invited us and I want you to meet her!"
George chuckled, "Seriously? You want Lucy to meet another girl? I don't think your friend will survive that."
I scowled at George, "Oh shut up, at least I don't smell."
He frowned at lifted his arms, "Oh..."
Holly poked her fork into her salad, "Don't change the topic!"
"I don't know... I don't even know what to wear to a party!", I took a bite from my bacon toast.
"A party?", said a voice from behind.
I turned around, startled, seeing Lockwood leaning against the door frame. He was already perfectly dressed, not like George and me in saggy pyjamas.
I nodded, "Holly wants to drag us to a party."
He sat down next to George and grabbed a piece of toast, "Great, we're going!"
I stared at him, "Wha-"
He smiled, "Come on Luce, we never do anything fun! So, what's the dress code?"
Holly grinned, "Well, I wouldn't go like that if I were you."
He frowned, "What, what's wrong with it?"
She laughed, "It's a party! No normal teenager wears suit and tie. Just put on a shirt and some jeans."
He hesitated, "Oh, that kind of party. Maybe Lucy's right about not going..."
"Ha! Now way, I changed my mind, we're going!", I grinned, "You in jeans? I can't wait!"
"But I don't even own that!", he said chewing his toast.
Holly's eyes glowed once again, "Any reason for shopping is a good reason!"
Lockwood's face froze and without Holly noticing I smiled at him sweetly with a look that said "Oh, you will have fun!"In fact I had the same problem as Lockwood. All I had were my casual clothes and that dress I had worn to the Fittes event. Nothing was really adequate. I precariously decided to not tell Holly and went out on my own.
What do people wear to such parties? What do you actually do there? Drink probably, ever since children were the ones saving the adults' life's, alcohol had become a common thing around tired, malaise-tortured night watch kids and agents. Also they were the only ones out at night,so parties like the one we were going to were more common around us. They weren't official organized by the agencies and mostly held in secret, because no fancy Rotwell commander wants their precious little agents to shine a bad light on them.
Lockwood and Co had never been evolved in those parties, firstly because we were busy trying not to die on our cases and secondly because no one really knew about us before Holly. Also maybe because we were all three not very... Society-compatible.
I was in the third shop by now, hoping to avoid Holly and Lockwood. I didn't know what to go for, but I also hated asking the shop assistant.
I was just critically examining a violet top with glitter ornaments on its sleeves, when I noticed a girl a little bit older than me watching me.
Uncertain of her intent I lifted my eyebrows. She was blonde, skinny and tall. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, her face bright and pretty with big blue eyes. She wore a blue pullover and light jeans.
She was smiling, "If I were you I would keep my hands off that."
I sighed, "I know, whoever made this probably has a serious problem."
She looked around, grabbed something and came over to me, "Try this instead, looks good with short hair."
It was a burgundy top, apparently shoulder free. I shrugged, "Since I don't have a clue about fashion I'll have to trust you."
She chuckled, "Okay. Also, try some dark blue jeans to that, the tighter the better!"
I made a face, "I'm not really the the skinny jeans type."
She winked, "Try it. Btw, I'm Becky. (yeah she's probably inspired by Riverdale, okaaay).
"Lucy.", I smiled at her and went into the changing room.
Wow, Lucy, you're making progress. Not hating every girl that exists is a new. Also she was being nice. Although she's pretty. Pigs can fly.
