Hello Readers,
This is just something new I'm trying. I don't know if I'll end up completing this story or not. But I do know I'm not going to make any promises. I've already been there and done that. And in the end all I've done is disappoint you. That being said, I'm going to try and update every week. However, that solely depends on how busy I am. This is just a warning beforehand. I really don't want to disappoint anyone.

I stood with my shoulders slouched in a long line of angry, impatient teenagers. I would say out of them all, Sophie and I are the most mature. But then again, the two people waiting in front of us, a girl with coppery brown hair and a guy with black hair and glasses might just get on the mature list too.
"I hope I get laid tonight," Sophie gushed, twirling a piece of her light brown hair.
It's Sophie's first time going to Pandemonium, or any club for that matter. Me, on the other hand, is a different story. I've been here a few times and have also gotten drunk. But I can hold my liquor. All it's ever gotten to is makeout sessions with random boys, but nothing else.
You really are a bad girl, Leah.
That's true. I found out mom's got a month to live, and here I am, standing in front of a club. Ready to get wasted. Ready to forget it all. Ready to hold the nightmares at bay.
"Earth to Leah. You've been staring at the same spot for a while. It's kind of unnerving," Sophie huffed. I jerked my head up, muttering an apology. One thing I like about Sophie is her brutal honesty.
My brown eyes caught onto the front of the line. The bouncer was grilling a blue-haired boy in a red jacket. He looked to be holding what looked like a pitchfork that could seriously hurt someone. The bouncer just glared at the boy.
Some bouncer he is. He can't even root out the people who spike the drinks in the club.
"You can't bring that thing into the club," the bouncer gritted out. All the boy did was just grin back at the taller man.
"He looks cute," Sophie whispered in my ear. I raised an eyebrow at her. She hasn't even seen his entire face. Besides, my standards are always high. So, my definition of cute is different from Sophie's.
"Don't be such a party pooper. It's all part of the costume. See, I'm a vampire hunter," he pouted trying to look like a vampire hunter. At that moment I saw his eyes glow blue straight at the bouncer.
Oh great, another one of my lovely hallucinations. I've been getting them ever since I turned five. It's a wonder I'm not in the madhouse yet.
No you know exactly why.
Yes, because of mom and that promise.
The bouncer stepped to the side, letting the boy pass by. It was as if he was under a spell.
"That boy's got some mad talking skills," my friend commented, sighing in dreaminess. I playfully rolled my eyes at her. Soon we'll be inside the club.

My body naturally moved to the music. My blonde hair hung freely over my left shoulder. I'm wearing a dark blue, V-neck, sleeveless top. The only thing attaching it to my body are two one-inch wide straps. The top reveals some cleavage. Peeking out from underneath my shirt are the ends of my blue shorts that reach just above my thighs.
