My hat cover my face, my blue jeans had red stains on them, my jacket covered the ripped shirt I had on underneath it.
I took one last view of the hospital, as the bus drove past.
I couldn't bare to take the pain anymore, the reason why I was here.
A car beep they horn as I cross the street.
"Stupid bitch!" A angry man yelled out.
"Fuck you!" I yell out of anger.
The double doors automatically swung open as I walk in.
The hospital seem to be empty, probably because it was daytime. At night time the hospital stay pack.
I didn't want to show my face to anyone, I was ashamed.
"How may I help you?" A lady at the front desk ask, she gave me a warm smile, it was apart of her job.
"I'm here to get check." My voice crack.
"For?" The lady ask.
It took me a long time to respond.
"For stds or any type of diseases." I said embarrassed.
"Name please? And can I see your I.D." She said nicely, the look on her face, you could tell she was puzzled.
"Is a school I.D alright?" I ask.
"Yes ma'am." She nod her head not once removing her smile.
I reach in my pocket and grab my school I.D handing it to her.
"Okay." She began typing in the computer.
"Sign these papers right here." She hand me a clipboard attached with a pen.
I sat at the nearest chair, quickly signing the clipboard. I didn't want anyone to see me here, especially the students from my school.
"Here you go." We exchange.
I put my school I.D back in my pocket.
"Do you have Medicare?" She ask.
"Yes ma'am." I said softly.
"Good. You can take a seat, we would be right with you." She gave me a smile one last time.
Like I say I wasn't rich, my mom live off of food stamps, medicare, dope, and selling her body.
A couple walk in holding a baby, the baby looked sick to it stomach.
"I told you not to feed him that pork chop, damn Niya." The angry man said patting the baby on the back.
"I didn't know he was allergic." She seem not to care to much about her son because she was all in her phone.
Of course the nurse gave them the same assistance she gave me.
When they was done they sat in front of me.
I didn't once look up, I was to ashame to look up.
"You know I have shit to do Niya." His voice sounded so familiar, I had no choice but to look up. We made eye contact and I quickly put my head back down.
It was the dude from the party, the dude who I slept with.
