Chapter One
Moving Day
"Adeline, please hurry up we're going to be late" My Father yelled from downstairs.
This is it, the time is here. The day I had been wishing never to come, came. Every single item of clothing I owned was in a suitcase outside waiting for me. No we weren't moving, well... I'm moving.
My Parents are going to a trip, and leaving me behind! I know rude. But I can't complain since I'm the one who encouraged them to go, that I would be fine.
My Father is the CEO of his own company, his travailing to South Korea, London and other places on some very important meetings and stuff. I told My Mother she should go with him, they never really have had a vacation with only them self's. Anyway they said okay I could stay behind. But not alone.
I was to stay with some people who I didn't even know, I only knew their names and that's basically it. They are very good friends of my parents, since back in high school. My Parents were dating and she and her husband where dating. And they kept in touch.
I am junior in high school, I was transferred to a high school close to where I was going to stay for the rest of the school year. They told me they had a kid my age so they could show me around and stuff so I wouldn't feel like a loner, hopefully they are a girl. Still I would spend my whole summer with people I didn't know.
"Adeline, sweetie please hurry!" My Mother yelled from downstairs again.
I looked at my phone 5:20 am.
"Okay Coming!" I said yelled.
I put on my sweater and take my bag. It was kinda cold outside this early in the morning so I had to wear something that would keep me warm. Grabbing my phone, I ran down stairs. I went into the kitchen. I took a mug, it was a cute Rilakkuma mug that I got from our last trip to Japan, and poured some coffee.
"Great you're down" My Mother walked in the kitchen, "I thought I would have to go up there and get you myself" She opened the cupboard and took a mug out and poured herself some coffee too.
"Just wanted to say goodbye before I move" I taking a sip of my coffee, I put the cap on and walked to the main entrance hall.
"It's not forever" My Mother chuckled following me, "It's just for a few months" She assured.
"With total strangers" Well at least to me.
"I already told you their childhood friends" She rested My back on the wall
"Yeah I still don't have a clue who they are"
"If you want me to stay just say so, I will stay, I asked you if you were fine" She said.
I sighed, she's right I had the choice and I had agreed. "It's fine Mom, You and Dad deserve this little vacation, go have fun" I smiled, "and bring me something" I threatened.
"I love you so much sweetie" She hugged me
"I love you too Mom" I hugged back
I kept drinking my coffee and so did she. My Father walked inside the house, leaving the door open, "Already!", He said putting his hands together, "Ready to hit the road?" I looked over at My mom
"I guess" I shrugged
"Alright then let's do it!"
I got my bag and walked outside to My dad's Black Range Rover. I got in the back seat and buckled myself in. It was going to be like a 2 hour ride so I got comfortable in my seat. Mom and Dad got in and he started the engine, I put my headphones in and put on some Justin Bieber.
I closed my eyes. Hopefully I could get back the sleep I had missed this morning.
