One Month Later

"Lucas where are you taking me?" I questioned. Me and Lucas are now dating and we are going on a date today! I don't know where we are going because it's a surprise. We finally stopped  when Lucas said "you can look now." I opened my eyes to see a tree house in the woods by Lucas' house. "I came out here earlier to put some food up there" he explained. I stuttered before saying "it's beautiful. Can we go up?" As we started climbing up I felt nervous as I don't like heights. I carried on going and it was worth it as the view was beautiful, lots of greenery and even some mountains in the background. There were all my favourites (not much because I'm very fussy with food) ready salted french fries, chocolate rolls as well as a cheese and tomato pasta pot. "Are those all okay for you?" Lucas asked. At this moment I had already dug into my crisps as I don't have them often and nodded in answer to his question.

I was having so much fun but I had to go home so I took a picture of the view and then gave Lucas a goodbye kiss before leaving. I called Riley to let her know how the date went and that I would send her a picture of the place when I got home. I finally let myself in after a frustrating battle with the door and my stiff key. I went to my room, changed into my jogging clothes, sent Riley the picture and left. I went for a ten minute jog around the block before returning home and taking a shower. I changed into a grey jumper that said 'Lower East Side New York City' and some matching grey shorts. I texted Riley asking if she wanted to go into the city and she replied within seconds saying yes. Walking around the corner to Starbucks I spotted Riley waiting for me with two Caramel Frappuccinos and a chocolate coin for me. We walked down the street drinking our frapps when I spotted a really cute jumper that I wanted to buy.

I must of been staring because I heard Riley say "you should totally get it Peaches." I walked into the store with Riley behind me and quickly found my size. I looked around to see if there was anything else I wanted as I had £20 on me when I spotted a hat that said 'squad goals' on it and decided to get that as well. I went outside to wait for Riley and when she came out found out she got the same hat but mainly white with black writing on it (mine was the opposite). Then we went and bought chocolates from somewhere before heading back to my house for a sleepover. For dinner we had a chicken korma with naan bread and poppadoms before getting changed for bed. " What's your favourite song right now Maya?" I had to think hard as I knew so many good songs but keeping in mind that I'd watched something recently and loved the songs from it especially the 50 shades version of 'Crazy in Love'. "Ummm probably Crazy in Love."

"It is very hard to pick a favourite though as there are so many good songs at the moment." My phone beeped so I checked what it was. Ugh more people talking shit about me, saying stuff like 'your friends don't deserve you' or 'go kill yourself'. Riley doesn't know so she asked me if I was okay. "Yeah it's just some notifications from Instagram. Nothing important." There was a minute of silence before Riley said that if something was wrong that I could always talk to her. "Yeah I know I can always talk to you" I replied before hugging her. "Wait so is that the Beyoncé version then?" she questioned. I shook my head. "No the Sophia Karlberg one." I pulled away from the hug and asked "What about you? What's your favourite song right now Riley?" as I went into the bathroom. I was wearing a jumper so I pulled down the sleeve of my left arm, grabbed some scissors and cut. This isn't even the first time that I've done it.

I started when the mean messages did so I've been doing for about 10 months, not long after my birthday. I pulled my sleeve back down and left the bathroom. During this time Riley had said that she also liked Crazy in Love and was going to get piano lessons so she could learn how to play it. "That sounds like a lot of fun" I replied.
