This Sad Truth

Obsidian POV

I looked at the Crystal gems. They don't look like much. A sapphire, a fusion, and a pearl. I heard they had a hybrid. Guess Homeworld shattered him. Well, I would've known so... maybe not. I ran to the pink Lion and jumped into his mane along with Pyrite, Sodalite, and blue Pearl. Two other gems followed us. I looked back to my friend Amber. She gasped as I saw her being thrown down by guard gems. The two gems who followed us were taken. They were dragged off to another room. Blue Pearl yanked me into the mane of the pink Lion.

"We have to go! There is no time to mourn Amber and Apatite's death! They will obviously be shattered! Let's go!" Blue Pearl said. The Lion warped. We got out of the magical mane and looked around. Pyrite gasped. Earth. Blue Pearl clasped her hands together and whispered to us, "Pyrite, Sodalite, Obsidian. We are here. Ask the Crystal gems if we can join them!" I nodded and walked up to the Sapphire.

"Hello. I'm Obsidian. This is Pyrite, Sodalite, and Blue--" the pale Pearl cut me off.

"We know who she is." The Pearl pointed to Blue Pearl. "And no. She is not joining us." She said. I scoffed.

"Just because you don't like her doesn't mean you can't help her." I said. The fusion unfused. I looked at the two gems, baffled and amazed.

"Yeah, P. You don't like Peridot, yet you let her join. And Peridot has probably done worse stuff than Blue Pearl." The Amethyst said. I was fine with an Amethyst fusing, but a Peridot? I didn't even know they could fuse.

"How... did you... fuse?" I asked the small green gem.

"I can fuse. That's all I know." She said. I remember her!

"I remember you! Your Peridot Facet-2-F-5-L Cut-5-X-G Peridot Era 2!" I said and pointed at her.

"Yeah," She rubbed her arm. "Most people call me Peridot. It's easier." She said and nervously smiled.

"Can't you fuse?" The Amethyst asked.

"I don't know. I never have." I said.

"Never mind that!" The Pearl yelled. "We were discussing if you could join and I never said you-- Where's Sapphire?!" The Pearl cut herself off and looked for the small, blue gem. I saw a tall gem walking towards us. She had black hair and had a red outfit on.

"Garnet!" The Amethyst yelled.

"Garnet? Who is this 'Garnet'?" I asked.

"Me. I'm Sapphire and Ruby fused." She said. She unfused and showed me. A short, red gem stood there. She must be Ruby. "Pearl, I need to talk to you." Garnet said, now fused again. She dragged Pearl away and whispered something to her.

"WHA-- oops." Pearl yelled. I snickered at her accident.

"Pearls." I said and smiled. Blue Pearl scowled at me.

"Uh... Obsidian?" Sodalite whispered.

"Yeah?" I asked and looked her way.

"Um... if they don't let us stay... where will we go?" She asked. I never really thought about that, but I just said,

"We will just find Prismarine in the Beta Kindergarten. That's the only place we can go." I said. Prismarine is Pyrite's best friend. She helped us escape to the Prime Kindergarten, but we were caught by Jasper. White Diamond was going to have us shattered, but Blue Diamond savored us and said we were still useful in doing things to help make weopons to destroy Earth. She did it to save us, but she hates that we are trying to destroy Pink Diamond's planet and zoo. So, we lived the first time, but now, if we are caught, we will not make it. Just like Amber and Apatite. Tourmaline is with us, she just likes to sit alone most of the time. Which reminds me, I need to check on her before the complaining Pearl comes back. I walked to her. Her cyan blue hair block her right eye and her left was closed. "Tourmaline, you okay? You're new to us and I don't really know what you need." I said.
