CHAPTER 1: EVA

- Daddy, do you need any help with dinner?

- No, honey, it's okay. We´re dining on the Mayor today - he answers.

I sigh. I don´t like the mayor and I don´t like the mayor's house, and I especially do not like being friendly with his daughters. Daddy laughs.

- Sometimes you 're just like your mother.

-Because me and she always grumble?

-More or less- he says. We are alone at home. Mom´s teaching my younger brother to hunt, only like a sport. When I was his age, she tried to teach me to use the bow and arrow, but couldn´t adapt. But it seems that my brother Finn, is enjoying.

I'd rather stay home with Dad. He sits in his office, drawing, and I try to copy him. Sometimes I only watch. Today he is drawing a flower that appeared on a tree near to our house, which is kind of rare, now that spring is almost over, and the cold has begun.

He gets up from the chair and put the flower in my hair, behind the ear .

It stays good on your brown hair- he says, leaving the office.

-Better getting ready, your mother should be arriving.

I smile slightly and caught the flower. Purple. It's pretty. I walk to my room and put in the window. Then I change my clothes. I put on a blue dress and a coat, it's cold outside.

I hear my mother and brother arriving. Finn's eight. He comes into my room unannounced, as always, and hugs my waist, as much as his little hands can reach.

We are very united. After all, we are the only children who know how to be the son of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. We have to face it together.
