That Very Special Day, Prom.

Its 9 am, which for me is sleeping in because my mom would always get me up at freaking 6 in the morning. I hopped up the stairs excitedly, "Mom?"

     "Oh, you're up?"

"Um...yeah? Anyway, can I ask a huge question?"

I heard her rustle around with what sounded like fabric, "Yeah, sure."

I meandered into the kitchen, thinking about what to make to eat for the three of us girls. "Can we strip the dye?"

The silence in the other room worried me, but soon my mom emerged from her studio. "You finally want to go natural?" I nodded, looking in the fridge for what we had. "That's great, I'll update-" My mom's voice drifted off as she left the room.

I began to pull out the summer squash, zucchini, and chicken. "I'm gonna make my special pizza." But first, I needed to get dressed, so I put the chicken in the microwave to defrost and I ran downstairs to finish getting ready for the day. In a flash I was trotting back upstairs and started on cutting up the chicken and squashes. A knock on the door brought me out of the zone, I rinsed my hands and opened the door to see Hisoka and Kittyana standing there. "Hey guys, I'm getting brunch ready." I waved them in and brought them to the kitchen.

Kittyana gaped at the size of my house, "Haha I know, her dad is like hella rich." Hisoka jumped into a stool on the island, which spun around and of course she was immediately entertained. I love this cute kitsune. Kittyana sat in the seat next to her and looked around the abnormally large kitchen, I never noticed before how big my mom had it built until now. I went back to cutting up the squash and put them all in the steamer. I pulled out the pizza crust, sauce and cheese. I prepared everything together and put it in the oven.

I showed them to the living room where it'd be more comfortable to wait, "I'm huuuuunnnggrryyy." Kittyana whined.

"Oh shush." I sass her, she spits her tongue out at me and I do the same back.

"How long until the food's done?" Hisoka butts in.

"You two are going to be the death of me, food will be done in ten minutes." I go back in the kitchen to clean up the mess I made, and made some tea for Hisoka. The timer went off and I yelled to the girls in the other room, "FOOOOD!" Like a heard of elephants they charged into the kitchen and sat at the island. Kittyana dived right in and Hisoka and I laughed, the joy on her face was priceless. I was so hungry I followed quickly wolfing down a bunch of hot pizza, we were talking and eating and Hisoka almost shot tea out her nose. Kittyana and I about died laughing, which soon we ran out of things to say to each other and started to grunt at each other, seeing who could be louder or funnier sounding. Hisoka stood by the island dancing to no music.

"So when are we going to the salon?" Kittyana chirped.

"Um..." I looked at the clock, "Oh shit we gotta go now!" We all scramble for our things, and head out to the car. Which of course my mom was already out there waiting for us.

We got to Julie's barber shop, this girl was one of my mom's old students and my mom took her in under her wing. Julie was like an older sister, she was always around. She had such a fun personality I didn't mind having her around all the time. Today, Julie's pastel green Mohawk wasn't gelled up, but she had an adorable outfit on. A cropped black tee, with a Jean jacket and ripped jeans. "Jo Jo! Hello Darling!" She runs up to my mom with a bear hug.

     "Sorry I can't stay, I have a dentist appointment."

"Oh, its fine. Are you still coming Tuesday?"
