Primal Mate

3. Discover

The next morning I was woken up quite suddenly by Victor barging into my room telling me to follow him because they is was a suspicious threatening figure siting at the treeline. As we passed a window that had a view of the backyard. My eyes widened slightly as I saw who the figure was.

It was Colin.

He was just sitting there, leaning against a tree in the shade. 

"Abel, good timing," My father was standing in front of a slightly open window and through it I could smell Colins scent. The smell had me inhale sharply so I can try to control the urge to run to him. I guess he could smell me as well cause he looked straight at me. 

My father saw him look at me, so he took my arm and pushed me behind his 6'3 frame. He then opened the back door and walked over to him with an air of dominance and authority. Colin then stood up and from where I was it was easy to see that Colin was taller than father. Fathers air of dominance wavered for a second because of this. I couldn't see fathers face so i couldn't tell what he was saying, but I could see Colins face giving me an idea as to what he was saying. His mouth moved twice in the few minuets they were talking. The first time it moved it was clear to see that he had growled in response to whatever father had said. The second was a single word but I couldn't tell what the word was. The minuets ticked by incredibly slow till they both started to walk towards the house. Victor, who was right next to me was growling steadily. 

"Abel, care to explain who this man is to you?" Father had stated curtly to me as he opened the back door to get inside. I didn't get a chance to say anything back cause I was engulfed in a hug by my mate. His signature scent filled my nose and I nuzzled my face into the crook of his neck while he did the same thing to me. The soft growls he was emitting were comforting, they got viscous for a second to ward off Victor from touching me. 

"Abel.." They both trailed off. 

"What's this?" A sudden feminine voice permeated the air, the luna. I didn't look up, even if I wanted to I couldn't due to Colin holding my head but I wasn't complaining. 

"It appears Abel found his mate, and by his scent it's the same scent that was on him last night," My father said as he went up to his mate and wrapped his arm around her. 

"The guy wont let me go near him," Victor almost seemed to be whining. I guess it was shocking to him that I found my mate. 

"Well of course it's only natural for mates who just met to do that," The harsh, stern glare my father was sending toward my mate made me tighten my hold on Colin and give a glare of my one that basically said 'stop it'.

"He's a rouge, and an alpha one at that. I don't like it, not one bit. But I wont due anything due to the consequences that could kill Abel," Those words struck something in Colin cause the grip he had on me to tightened and he released a bone shaking growl and a terrifying glare directed at my father. The other two alphas, being my father and Victor, physically reacted to the growl, granted it was only a shiver but it was still something. Also my mother, the luna, shook and had to grip my fathers arm. I had the most severe reaction out of all of them due to my low rank. A whimper escaped my mouth and my body was racked by shivers and if I wasn't already sitting on the floor I would have fell. 

At my whimper he immediately stopped the growl and started to continue to give off the comforting growl.

"Sorry mate," He almost seemed to whimper. 

"It's ok"

"Abel why don't you go upstairs with your mate," My mother gently said. I sent her a grateful smile and took Colins hand and lead him to my room.

When I opened my door Colin went to my bed and nuzzled my pillows. I laughed at his actions. I walked towards him and sat next to him, my hands drifted towards his chocolate brown hair and I started to play with it. He leaned into my touch while I could feel myself getting tired cause of the adrenaline because of Victor scaring me when I woke up. Before I knew it I fell asleep while Colin fell asleep soon after me.
