So, yeah I don't think that this one is quite as long as some of the others. And I know that it is very vague, which I did purposefully because I didn't want to have any serious discrepancies, although I almost definitely have a few small ones.
This chapter is dedicated to @captainsaltwater2003 who made my day with the comments on earlier chapters. Also, the him being a jerk at any time in this is purely for the sake of the plot in the beginning, I don't want to spoil anything, but they do grow more accustomed to each other. I'm not trying to say anything about who the actual Levi is or my opinion of him.
But, without further ado, here is the seventh chapter.
I walked and walked and walked.
I walked until the sun had completely set and I could barely see my feet as they hit the pavement. I walked until I had gone through the entire playlist that I would always listen to when I got pissed at someone. I walked until there were enough fireflies out that I could almost see past ten feet around me. But more importantly, I walked until I got a text from my dad saying that they were finally heading back and would be home a half hour late. And, at that point, I ran.
And without a doubt, the slight suspicions that I had were correct. The handful of people that had shown up had grown into a full blown party. And it was one that needed to be shut down and have all evidence cleaned up within the hour.
People still stared at me when I walked in, but that didn't matter because I was frantically searching for Levi. Instead I found Mike.
"Hello evil queen, would you like a beer?" He looked up from his phone. It was strange, how he was at a party and had his ass attached to a couch while staring at his phone.
"No," I glared down at him. "Where's Levi?"
"I don't know, last I saw him he was coming back inside and he looked pretty screwed up. My guess, he's hiding in the basement or his bedroom. Why?"
I shook my head, "it's a long story."
I immediately took the piece of information that Mike had given me and headed for Levi's bedroom. It was a quicker bet for me because I had less chances of getting lost in the house that was still new to me. It was only seconds before I was standing in front of the dark door that divided me from the room where the boy who was soon to be my brother lived, a mere fraction of what would be if I had wandered into the basement.
"Miller," I knocked on the door, not expecting to hear a response. The music was too loud and the doors had looked too thick for my voice to reach through to the other side properly. My guess was correct, nothing came back. I began pounding on the door. "Miller! Get your sorry ass out of there right now! If you don't I'm coming in!"
There was no noise, none at all, so I did as I had promised and threw open the door. Levi didn't even notice me coming in, there was almost no way that he could've. His back was turned away from the door, but I could tell from his curled posture that he held his knees to his chest as the music from his headphones blared loud enough for me to hear every single word of the song that was playing.
"Miller!" I screamed as I yanked off his headphones. The boy moved as if he were being attacked, eyes suddenly becoming alert and jumping onto his feet, along with bouncing for he was on his bed, and into a fighting stance. He relaxed visibly at the sight of me, though a small sadness lingered in his face. "They're going to be back in a half hour. We have a half hour to get everyone out of here."
He sprang out of the room and to the top of the stairs. "Hey!" He screamed and waved his arms for a solid thirty seconds before people finally noticed him. "The neighbors called the cops everyone out!"
It was a weak lie, but all of the present teenagers were either too stupid or paranoid of getting caught drinking underage that they believe his words and were all out of the house within two minutes. Only Mike remained, an ever present smirk remaining on his face.
"That one's getting boring, isn't it?" His voice traveled up the stairs along with his feet. "How many more times do you think it'll work before they stop listening to it?"
I glanced at Levi. "How often do you have parties?"
Levi shrugged. "Not important. We need to clean up before they get home and we get it asses handed to us on a silver platter."
