So yeah I don't really know what to put here at the moment, maybe by the time that I actually get the whole chapter written down I'll have something to say.
Oh yeah! I didn't realize just how long it had been since I updated and I'm going to apologize if there are any grammar or storyline mistakes because I didnt go back that much to check and I just write down the chapter without planning or anything.
Hopefully it's decent. I know that it's extremely short, but it just kind of needed to be in here.
~~~~~~~~~~We spent the rest of that half hour running around the house, picking up anything that could've suggested people other than the present ones being there. Trash bags were filled and ran down to the nearest neighbor's bin to be disposed of.
By the time that my father and Meg returned, I had accompanied a spot on the couch, cup of coffee in hand and the television on. The boys were positioned downstairs playing video games. The idea was to have it seem like we had been this way for the past hour or more, but it only took looking slightly closely to see the faults in our plan. My coffee was still too hot to drink and I might've forgotten to turn off the pot, the game was probably still loading for them, and even more importantly, it was 10:45 and I still hadn't eaten dinner.
Why Levi decided to have a party in the middle of the day still bothered me.
"We're back!" My father announced as he walked in.
"Did you get whatever you were doing done?" I kept my eyes on the screen as I spoke.
"Yep, were ahead of schedule!" Meg gushed. "We can go dress shopping on Saturday and we'll talk about how school's going for you and anything else!"
She was really excited about this, and so was my dad. I wanted to be happy with them, but I just couldn't. For so many reasons. To be happy about this made me feel like I would be betraying my mother and brother. I just couldn't bring myself to do that.
"Wait," I tore my eyes away from the screen. "School?"
"Yes?" My father looked at me questioningly. "You're starting school on Monday. Did you think that we would let you skip out on more school than you have already done? Levi will be driving, so I would talk to him about the details of that."
School? I had dared to hope that I would get the next week off, being stuck with wedding planning and the excuse that I was still 'adjusting' to my new surroundings. Sure, school hadn't ever been difficult for me, but still. It was school. It sucked. Being the 'new girl' was already bad enough without having to walk into the building with a reputation as being 'the hot chick that is going to be Levi Miller's stepsister.'
That one phrase would undoubtedly make my first week there a living hell.
