Melody's P.O.V.

I sat there starring at my old fashioned invitation. I had found it in my locker neatly placed on top off all my folders.

~~~~~Earlier that day~~~~~~~

I sat there starring out the window day dreaming about what i would do later this evening.

"Melody! Melody! i just asked u a question what is the square root of 2,704?" Says Mr.hanack our maths teacher!

"If i knew the answer. I would of told u! Oh and do me a favour and tell maths that i won't find his X there's a reason Y she left him!"

The class are silent for a few seconds while it takes them to understand the joke. When they have they burst out laughing it only remains like that for a 30 seconds. I'm not really that funny so it doesn't last very long. I'm also not that popular so, later some other kids will make fun off me. I don't really care what they think. If i can get good grades and pass my tests, i know i will do well in life.

"Miss. Ludwej please go to the headmasters office now!" He says in a calm voice.

"Is that an option?" I say sarcastically.

"Now! Thank you." he says trying to act as calm as possible although really he's just about to crack by that point.

"Your very welcome." I say this as though i've done something good! "It's been a pleasure, i really hope i ca..." i get pushed out the door and into the corridor by Mr. Hannack. I don't need to worry about going down to the headmasters office because he is my uncle. So just to make sure he thinks i've gone there i walk round the school and make my way to my locker.

When i do get there i open it to find an old fashioned letter placed neatly on my folders.

The letter read:

Dear Miss Ludwej,

Please attended my party at

6 Blackmore Road,

Forrest Town,

GR2 4KD.

On the 6th June.

Dress Code: formal.

I sat down at the table starring at the letter whilst i waited for my friends. I thought to myself who the hell could be 'R'. Ruth? Richard? Rachel? Ruby? Rudolph?

"What you looking at?" Says Gemma.

"Oh nothing." I reply sighing and sliding the letter into my pocket. "Do you know where 6 Blackmore Road is?" I asked Gem.

"Nope not a clue? Why?"

"Just wondering" I say sighing again.

"Somethings bothering you. Isn't it?" Asks Gem.

"No." I sigh again.

"Yes there is!"

"No there isn't!" I say my tone getting angrier with each word.

"Ok. Alright."

"Move over Mels." Max says. "No!" I say it really harshly. Max's looks hurt and whimpers at me. "Sorry Max i just Haven't had a good day." I say this feeling ashamed and look at him really upset. He pulls me in a hug, i stay there for a bit. Then i pull away from him. "What's up then?" He questions me thinking he will get an answer from me . As if! "Come on you can tell us." He says trying to provoke me into telling him. I guess i'll eventually have to tell them about the letter. Max says something to me but i don't hear him, so i look up at him and go "Yes what! What were you saying?"

"I was saying, if you ever bothered to listen." he went on as i punched him playfully on the shoulder. "Did you see anything strange today."

"No, no i didn't." Why?" I say half smiling at myself whilst twisting my ring around my finger. "Wait, i tell a lie."

"That's not new" Max mutters as I reach in to my pocket to pull out my invitation. "Here." I say as i push it towards him across the table.

"Wow." He says whilst examining the letter.

"What's so amazing about it?" I say, raising an eyebrow and giving him a smile.

"Well, doll face, let's find out." He says tapping the letter lightly on my head as i take it gently from his hand and place it back in my pocket. "Oh and don''t call me doll face, sweet cheeks."

"Whatever you want." He tells me joking around.

"Where's Sara today? I haven't seen her since yesterday when i dropped her off from the party. You know she was really drunk." Gem says, i only half hear her and say "Eh she'll turn up sooner or later."

"With or without a hangover." Max finishes off.

We then headed off for the study hall to look up the place on my invite. Max typed in the post code on google maps. The screen came up with a mansion located in the woods. Just off Forest Town. We went to go look up the house history but google only came up with built 1809, 6th June. No owner, no previous residents, no nothings.

A/N So guys, i hope you liked my first chapter. Do tell me if i get my spellings wrong somewhere in the book or if i half finish a word.

I won't put A/N's at the bottom of the chapter apart from the first chapter or if i have something exciting to tell you.
