Marco stay at Tom's house that night, not even feeling comfortable in his own home without Star. In the morning when he woke he was facing Tom, their faces only inches apart and their legs tangled together. He tried getting up without waking Tom and almost succeeded if he hadn't clumsily fell off the edge of the bed. Tom sat up stretching looked over the edge of the bed.
"Good morning." He said with a smile. Marco smiled up at him from the floor, Tom's face hovering over his.
"Morning." Marco said with a yawn. They both lay in the same spot for a few more moments, looking intently into each others eyes.
"So hows they floor?" Tom said smiling. Marco rolled his eyes and laughed a little.
"Why don't you come see for yourself." Marco stuck out his tongue. Tom floated off his bed and lay next to Marco on the floor.
"Ehh. I'd give it a 7/10." Marco laughed. Marco blushed, turning to his side facing Tom.
"Thank you for letting me stay here..." He smiled shyly. He still was really upset about yesterday. Tom lifted his hand to his face, wiping a tear Marco didn't know he shed.
"Of course..." Tom smiled at him. "Come on. Lets get breakfast." Tom stood, holding out his hand to held Marco up as well. They left the room, never taking their hands apart, and walked down the large halls to the Dinning room. Marco sleepily rubbed his eyes while sitting next to Tom at the table. Tom told some blue guy to get breakfast for two, and the demon rushed off. "So. Marco... Are you feeling any better than yesterday?" Tom asks in attempts to break the silence. Marco glanced over at Tom and smiled.
"A lot, thanks..." Marco said with his still groggy voice. Tom smiled right back at him and the demon that rushed out before came into the room with two plates of three waffles. Each covered with syrup, whip cream, and strawberries. Marco stared at the food in front of him with wide eyes. He's never had this much in one sitting. He takes a swipe at his whip cream with his finger and put it in his mouth. Marco instantly lit up and started eating his breakfast. Tom watched him with amusement, leaning his head against his hand propped up on the table. Marco noticed and swallowed what he had in his mouth. "W-what..?" He tilted his head at Tom that just laughed a bit.
"Nothing..." Tom smiles and continues to stare lovingly at Marco. Marco pouts a bit and sets down his fork.
"Tell me." Marco says in a pleading voice. Tom shrugs and starts to eat his own waffles. Marco frowned and started poking Tom's arm, making Tom laugh a bit at how hard Marco was trying. "Tom. Tom, tell me. Tom please. I'm going to die without knowing... This is it for me." Marco dramatically held his hand to his forehead and fell back in his chair to the floor. Tom used his magic to bring Marco back into his chair. "Does this mean you'll tell me." He smiles. Tom thought to himself for a little bit.
"No." he said simply and continued eating. Marco pouted and crossed his arms. There was a few moments of silence between them before Marco had an idea.
"Fine. If you wont tell me, I'll just go home." Marco got out of his chair and stared walking off when he felt arms wrap around his waist. hehe got ya...
"No. Don't leave. I'll tell you, Just don't leave yet." Tom mumbled into Marco's neck. Marco smiled and said 'go on'. "I just thought you looked really cute when you get exited. Please don't go..." Tom mumbled again. Marco blushed, turning his body to hug Tom.
"I won't. But I will have to go home at some point. I have school tomorrow, and my pare--" Tom shushed him, holding a finger to Marco's lips.
"Let's not worry about those right now..." Tom smiled. Marco felt himself blush but kept looking into Tom's eyes nonetheless. "How about we go out tonight. Like... A date?" Tom looked hopefully at Marco waiting for a response. Marco smiled after what felt like forever, and nodded.
