Colin downed another glass of Henny and welcomed the burning sensation that ensued. It had been five days since he's last talked to Ava.
"Colin, how many of this are we gonna drink?"
Colin rolled his eyes at Erica, who had been his Ava in college. The only difference was Erica was annoying and clingy. He had to ask himself why he had even invited her over.
"This is only my second glass, if you don't wanna drink you don't have to."
Erica poured herself another glass and smiled at Colin.
"I wanna drink."
"Then drink and shut up already."
Ava looked at the camera as she posed for her shoot. All the drama that she had been through in the last couple of days was taking it's toll on her. However, she was ALWAYS a professional when it came to making her coins.
"Since when do you model," Dawson asked as Ava walked towards him.
"Since my freshman year in college, it was meant to be for fun, but I fell in love with it just like designing."
"Ava, did you get the file that I sent to you," Layne asked.
Ava made a face at her cousin and personal assistant, she'd left the paper at Colin's.
"I did but it's not with me."
"Well where is it."
The two looked at each other and Layne understood.
"Do you want me to go get it?"
"Just come with me I'll get it."
Layne nodded her head.
"Dawson I'll see you later."
"Ok."
The women left linking their arms together.
Massie sat down on her bed and laughed. Her plan was coming together nicely and the cops were believing her every lie. Life was finally coming together for her.
"I've waited my whole life for this."
She took the picture of Ava off of her nightstand and studied it. She was without a doubt one of the prettiest girls in the world and it was actually the first thing that Massie had noticed about her. Finding herself go back to that feeling that she fought so hard to bury was coming up, she placed the picture back on the nightstand and tucked herself in for the night.
Colin heard a knock on the door, despite the loud laughter that was coming from Erica.
"Who is it?"
"It's me."
Colin opened the door and saw the face that he had been missing for the last few days.
"Hey."
"Can I get my file that I left here please?"
"Sure."
Colin stepped out of the way so Ava and Layne could walk in.
"What the fuck is she doing here," Erica asked with a disgusted look on her face.
Ava turned to Colin.
"What are you a zookeeper or something, shut your pet monkey up."
Ava walked into the room and grabbed her file. When she made it out the front Layne was by the door waiting on her.
"Ready?"
"Yup."
Before Ava could make it out the door, she heard Colin call her name.
