Chapter One

Okay guys this is my new book! Its about a percabeth road trip which I hope you enjoy, disclaimer: this book is based in America however I am not American so I don't know the education system and stuff like that so please bear that in mind if I make mistakes, also feel free to correct them in the comments, I hope you enjoy the book

"Four months are you kidding me four months," exclaimed Jason

"Well technically its four months and three weeks" replied Percy

"What!" shouted the three guys (Jason, Leo and Nico)

"That's the entire Summer what are you thinking?!" said Leo

"Look guys I know I'm going to be away for awhile but my mum has been planning this since she was 16, and we've been saving for years to do this I mean come on we even sold the car." Percy tried to reason with them

"Yeah yeah whatever... just have fun on your super amazing American road trip without us, you stupid jerk!" Jason responded

Percy knew the guys were happy for him, they were just gonna miss him he would miss them too, but he couldn't let his mum down.

You see, Percy's mum Sally had wanted to do an American road trip from California to New York since she was 16. She had been saving since then to do this! Percy had even saved $25 a month for the past few years from work, he had managed to save around $900 which they were using for food and clothes and such.

It was also the last chance to do a big family holiday with him his sister (Estelle, his mum and Paul) before he went to uni and his sister would start school. They were renting out their apartment while they were away and they sold their car so they could buy a new one suitable for the road trip when they got to California.

They were leaving the next week for four months and three weeks as Percy had finished school early due to finishing exams so everyone was available to do this long trip, it was the perfect time to finally do it.

The plan was to start in California travel across 37 states and end back home in New York City, just in time for Percy to start at NYU (New York University)

"Mum you need to relax... trust me, we've packed all the stuff were taking, my rooms packed up for the people staying here and for when I move. The payments went through for the car so that's all set and Paul's got all the information for the plane and the new car in Cali" Percy tried to relax his mum.

"Yeah but what if something goes wrong, this has been my dream for so long I just, I want it to go well i-"

"-Exactly its your dream and its going to be perfect I promise you just need to relax and get yourself ready for your dream to finally come through!" Percy yelled as he went to help Tabitha put her bags by the front door.

The next Moring they got a taxi to the air port, which was starting to stress Percy out, he didn't really like flying but he could handle doing it once for his mum, also he was sat next to estelle who was keeping him distracted.

Estelle had never been on a plane before as she was only 4 so she was really excited, until they had got half an hour in and she was getting bored, which meant Percy would have to keep her entertained for the next 5 hours.

The plain ride was filled with multiple movies and games until both Percy and estelle fell asleep, meaning sally had to take pictures as they were both so adorable.

When they had finally got through all the security at the airport they got a taxi to pick up their new car, once they had packed everything up and set off sally turned to estelle and Percy who were sat in the back and smiled as she said

"Let the road trip begin!"
