synopsis: how they say I love you for the first time

ben (to harry):

right after sex when they're laying there, sweaty and out of breath, Ben looks at Harry in a sort of dazed state. "Fuck, I love you." He says, only to want to shove the words right back in his mouth.

Harry only smirks. "Love me enough for round three?"

Ben suddenly perks up, and right before everything sinful that comes from Harry Hook, the man himself whispers in Ben's ear. "I love you too, Benjamin."

mal (to evie):

"This is why I love you," says Evie after laughing at the joke her girlfriend had made. She immediately freezes and her eyes widen tremendously.

"I didn't mean like- love-love. No I meant like love in a friend way but I just really like you romantically but love- no I would never, love gro-"

And Mal cuts off her rambling with a short kiss and an eyeroll. "I love you too, stupid."

carlos (to jay):

On a day after tourney practice, Jay comes home and jumps in the shower, excited to spend time with Carlos. By the time Jay gets out of the shower however, Carlos is busy playing with dude.

"Carlos," Jay whines, plopping himself on his boyfriends bed. "You like Dude more than me."

Carlos rubs the mutt's stomach, "That's probably true."

Jay sits on the edge of Carlos's bed and leans back, sighing dramatically. He pouts and broods to himself, upset that Carlos wasn't paying attention to him and then mad at himself for feeling ridiculous jealousy.

Carlos pounces on top of Jay when he least expects it, straddling him. Carlos leans down and pecks Jay softly before pulling back and whispering into his dark eyes. "I may love Dude a lot, but I love you even more."

Jay pauses and his mouth falls open, and before Carlos can even begin to panic, Jay kisses him slowly before saying, "Good to know. I love you too."
