CHAPTER 3
Stacey Black's POV:
WHEN I returned to the hall after the workout session with Alex, RiRi and Dan had concerned looks on their faces. They'd probably seen Alex rushing out before time.
They didn't ask me anything, but their eyes reflected a pool of questions.
"Let's go?" I asked.
"Stace?" Dan asked making me look at him.
"Want to drive?" He threw the car keys at me and I snatched it mid-air.
A smile slowly crept up on my face as he said that. I could never refuse an offer like that. So, I drove around the city with the cold wind gently hitting my face that brought relief to my stressed nerves. All the while that we drove, Dan made small talks. Whereas RiRi, who was lying on the backseat, picked up on words from our conversation and sang songs that had those words in it.
"So, would you tell your parents?" Dan asked.
"I'll tell them I found him," I nodded.
"How about the incident about Alex running away?"
"Ah, pretty sure he had some emergency. No biggie," I said.
"Well, if that's not bothering you, then what is?" He asked.
"Nothing," I shook my head.
"All I heard was nothing, she said nothing!" RiRi sang from the back. "Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing..."
And, there she went again. Usually she acted like this when she was insanely energetic, which was almost always, else when she felt sleepy but wasn't sleeping. This time, it was the latter. Anyway, I think that was a song by The Script.
Dan chuckled at RiRi and went back to enjoying the wind.
"I think he doesn't like me," I spoke after a while.
"Why would you think so?" He said, confused.
"Guts, sixth sense, call it whatever you want."
"But you guys just met," He said trying to be optimistic.
"Well, he hasn't spoken to me, plus he gives me these cold looks.. Only the Moon Goddess would know what's happening," I sighed shaking my head.
"Give the man a break, it's just the first time you met. Maybe it wasn't his day," He said.
"Maybe," I said. It didn't seem like a possible theory, because when you know something about your mate, you just do. Nevertheless, I still gave him the benefit of the doubt.
"Maybe your man was on his man periods," RiRi said, making both of us turn our heads towards her.
"How is Rhythm Symphony not singing? Did she run out of all the songs in her head?" Dan said faking surprise.
"How dare you say that?" RiRi sat up straight and narrowed her eyes at Dan. Gone was all the sleep.
"A Symphony can never run out of songs in their heads." She said proudly.
