Chapter One: The First Customer

Evangeline couldn't help but to yawned tirelessly as she waited for her morning coffee. Earning herself a laugh from Gordon, Eva become quite fluster as she realizes her own rudeness.

"Sorry about that Gordon, I was up late last night you see," She said shyly at the handsome young clerk, again earning a smile.

"Nah, it's all good love. If I didn't know better I think I fine you adorkable",he laughed. Making the young witch cheek more darken.

Yet Eva couldn't help to smile of the way he teased her. After all she had quite a crush on Gordon ever since when she first moved here to Little Coast. 

He gave off such and honest aura and she love that. Then again Gordon fate was not as easy to read like the others. She dealt with many type of people before. Most of the time, she could easily read everything about them. There were few that take a longer time to read. But Gordon was different, the jet black hair, emerald eyes, tall handsome young clerk only allowed her to read a quick glimpsed at time. 

And Eva love that, it make him like a mystery book to her. She always keep on wondering and wondering of what going to happen next. Plus it keep her from the disappointment of knowing the man have a soul mate that is coming soon enough. For just that Gordon gave her hope, even if was just a slight chance. Even if it only a small tiny chance that he was the one for her. And even if she know it won't end well, it still worth trying right?

Then again Gordon was a kind man and no matter what happen Eva had always promise herself, that she wish the best of luck for him. 

After all they had been really good time for a long time now. There should be no reason for Eva to end the friendship just because fate decide to screw up again.

And if she have to come up of a reason why she should stay as his friend? Well easy enough, Gordon owns the only coffee shop in the entire island of Little Coast. And there was no way she is missing these cup of coffee, she need it badly and that final.

In the end, it all about the coffee isn't it.

Her mind make up the excuse, and Eva quickly agree. If she going to get hurt in one way all another, might as well make for the coffee. It was something she could never survive without ever since she discover it.

Really she was a caffeine addict.

Or maybe she a Gordon addict.

He was the reason why she started to get her daily dose of caffeine.

Shut up mind! Don't be stupid! Eva argue with herself enough of this for today. Let just get the coffee and get out of here.

Finally Eva decided to look up after the long moment of zoning out and arguing with herself. She find herself staring at Gordon teasing grin as he leaned against the counter. This make her immediately look down at her feet again avoiding his eyes contact.

"You know" ,his smooth husky voice said quietly." You could stand there all day and I wouldn't mind staring at how cute you zoned out one bit Eva."

Again she fluster at his teasing comment. God darn! Why was his voice so smooth and sexy? It fit his personality perfectly too, if she didn't know better. Eva would have totally forgotten that Gordon was the heartthrob of the whole island. All the lady is charmed by his charismatic personalities. It wasn't just Eva who have a crush on him. It was the whole female population of the island.

Maybe that why you like him so much? You did want to fit in with the human around here, and gossiping had always been a good way.

Again! Eva reminded herself to stop arguing with herself. Seeing her coffee finally arrive at the counter, grabbing it immediately as the same time as Gordon.

She could see it.

His heart of the moment.

He like her as much as she like him. 

But it was only just for a mere second though. And it stopped, as Eva pulled here hand away immediately.

"C-can I have my coffee now please?",Eva blurted out while she could feel the heat rises above her cheek. Putting her money on the counter, Eva was ready to make a run for it as soon as Gordon let go of her coffee.

And as soon as he did it, the young witch kept her words and grab for the coffee turning her heels she about to headed out of the shop. 

"You forgetting your change again, my Evie",his voice ringed like the bell in her head. The world my and his little nickname for her sound so perfect with his voice.

"Y-you know I never needed it Gordan," she shyly said not daring to look back. "And s-stop teasing me so m-much! Y-you know I-I really h-hate you!"

She yelled rushing out of the small shop. As the door closed behind her, she could hear his laughter ringing in her ears. 

Her heart was going to explode if she in there any longer. 

Stupid Gordan and his charming personality, as well as all that mysteriousness that come with it.

Walking on the Coast main street, she couldn't help but to stare out at the sea. With the wind blowing away her hair, it was so relaxing. Quickly glancing at her wrist watch. 

It was 7:30 and it was about time for Eva open the flower shop again. 

Time fly when you are happy Eva, her mind reminded her. And it was true she was feeling extra happy. If she could she would stopped the time at this very moment and stayed like this forever.

It almost make her remember how to feel alive again. When she was normal and when she didn't know. 

Moving to Little Coast was the best desicion she ever made, Eva had decided this many time to herself. The little island off from New Jersey was far from the busy city. Far from the life that she had lefted behind. And it definitely far from those people that she once know.

Reaching near her boutique, suddenly Eva feel a strange energy wave surrounding her barrier. Stepping inside immediately she froze as she realizes what was going on.

The red headed woman stood elegantly in front of Eva. She hadn't changes much since she last saw her. The red headed women was still beautiful and powerful as ever. Smiling wickedly she take a step closer to Eva. And then she spoke,

"You seem so happy here Eva, I almost didn't recognize you."

But I did recognize you didn't I?

And Eva you should know it was time for you to go back.
