With everyone still eating, Franklin signalled to Alex to to Alex to meet him outside the cafeteria.

"Hey, do you know what we are going to do yet?" Alex asked him.

"I didn't have much time to think cause we have had some trouble with Lika" Franklin replied.

"Oh, well I thought that if we could get them over to each other's room then they might just talk it out" Alex proposed.

"Maybe, then they would both know how each other feels." Franklin agreed.

"How is the next problem. text me when you know how we can get this plan into action". Alex told Franklin before heading back.

"Got it" Franklin called after her, also returning a few seconds after she had.

Meanwhile the rest of the teams were nearly done eating, everyone that is except Lika.

She was in her teams room, on call to someone, who seemed angry at her.

"You were supposed to have gotten the leader out of the picture by now" the voice on the phone screamed at her.

"I know but this team is more difficult to crack than before" Lika answered the voice.

"Fine, but when I see you after the tournament I want you to be leading a team" The voice said more calmly.

"Yes mum" Lika replied before hanging up the phone.

Then Connor entered the room.

"Oh hey" Lika said in his direction.

"Oh um hey" Connor replied akwardly.

"You know I didn't mean any of those things I said earlier. I think that you're a great team leader" Lika said with a hint of seduction in her voice.

"Um thanks, I really gotta get go..."

"I also think that your the best looking that I've seen in this whole competition" Lika interrupted him.

"Thanks but I seriously gotta..." Connor started but Lika interrupted him by planting a kiss on his lips.

Connor was shocked, not about why she kissed him-she was right, he is the best looking gamer out there. But instead shocked that she did it so suddenly. He admired her courage and rewarded her for this by leaning into the kids and deepening it.

The both of them suddenly heard the door begin to open. Lika quickly winked at him before running over to play on her phone so the others wouldn't find out.

Franklin had just texted Alex about how to get them to meet.

Franklin: How about we tell them that you guys are holding me captive so I can't practice, then Connor will come and 'rescue' me though the only person there will be Ashley.

Alex: that could work, but what about Wendell and Lika?

Franklin: Wendell won't care and Lika never liked me anyway, I think it will work.

Alex: Okay then, we will put the plan into action right after the next round of games.

Franklin: Got it, hopefully this goes to plan.

Alex: Of course it will, they love each other, nothing can go wrong.

Soon the daily announcements started:

"Hello gamers, now as all of you should know, there are 8 teams left and it's time to test you as an individual. This game's twist is that everyone in your team will be playing a different game, all of equal difficulty, against a member of your opposing team chosen at random. The winner will be the team with the last player standing. We hope that you will perform to your best, as you are all part of the top 12.5% in the country. But who will be the very best, these games will help determine that, so may the best team win!".

The games were about to begin and everyone had practiced by themselves knowing that any slip-ups could result in their team going home. And no one wanted that.
