Love is Worth the Risk

Soon, people from all around had come to watch the final battle between Thumbs of Fury and Mega Domination. Yet no one knew what the final game twist would be, and everyone was anticipating it.

"Okay guys, today is the final of our first tournament and we are going to win it alright!" Ashley said to her team.

"Oh yeah we are" the rest of her team agreed.

Meanwhile, Connor was giving the same pep talk to his team. However having done this plenty of times before, none of his team were really that interested, other than the fact of who they were playing against.

Both teams had stratagised for hours on the game they would be playing and had their plan compleatly worked out.

Both teams knew that they would not find out the game twist until right before the game had started, as had been done before. But they didn't have long to wait, as they had already began making their way to the arena for the showdown that this entire tournament had been leading up to.

As soon as both teams spotted each other they put their game faces on and prepared for battle.

"Attention gamers, this is the final of Epking Extream as I am sure you know, and for the final we need a twist worthy of such an occasion. Today's twist is a player swap, players will be chosen randomly and once chosen, this cannot be changed."

"The players that have been chosen to swap are Lika from thumbs of fury and Ashley from Mega Domination. Remember that if you chose to play to a lower standard than you usually do, your original team will be disqualified, and you with them." Good luck gamers!"

As soon as the announcement were over both teams began to panic. None of their well-thought out strategies would work now with one player missing. But they couldn't do anything about it and prepared to fight.

The games were underway and both teams, though having no particular strategy, were playing strongly.

Thumbs of fury had tried to be friendly to Ashley, but from what they could see, this was just business for her.

On the other side of the arena however, Lika was getting on amazingly with her new team,and had lead them through the game spectacularly so far.

The games were really heating up and soon everyone was on the edge of their seats, waiting for the final battle between the two teams to take place in the game.

The game had lasted for hours and while Ashley repeatedly mouthed *sorry* to Mega Domination she managed to come out on top helping Thumbs of Fury win the tournament.

The team celebrated,and Ashley was about to walk away to her team Connor turned to her.

"Thanks for saving me back their Ash, without you we wouldn't have won" Connor said timidly.

"Sure, no problem, what are teams for anyway" she said with a tiny hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Look Ash, I'm sorry for what I did to you, I never wanted this to happen and I just said that we should just be friends because I thought that was what you wanted." Connor said sadly.

"Why would you ever think that? I adored you and your cheeky little ways. I thought you said it because you didn't like me." She replied a little angrily.

"Oh yeah?" Connor said before quickly putting his arm around her waist and pulling her in, so her body moulded perfectly into his. "Why ever would you think that?" He said smiling, while he leaned in closer to her. It wasn't long before his lips crashed into hers, flooding them with what they had both wanted to have for weeks now. The kiss lasted about 10 seconds in the real world,but for them it felt like an eternity.

"Why don't you come back Ash" Conner said huskily.

Ashley looked over and saw her new team who were exchanging numbers with Lika, knowing full well that Lika had already taken over her team with ease, she looked up at Connor and said what she had been wanting to say for years now: "yes".

A few weeks later all was as normal, besides the fact that Thumbs of Fury had a new enemy in what was previously known as Mega Domination but now as Thunder and Lightning.

Having won the tournament had sent Thumbs of Fury to the top of the country in Gaming and they were about to pose for Gamer's weekly Magazine. Wendell and Franklin stood to the side with Ashley and Connor in the middle. Wendell making his famous 'Game on' face and Franklin possessing a smile so big it went from ear to ear. And finally Connor had his arm around Ashley's waist while she rests her's on Connor's shoulder, looking at him cheekily. The team was back together and they were only just getting started.
