Soon it was time for the games to begin and all the teams were anxious to say the least. Soon 4 would become 2, and later 2 would become 1, so they had everything to play for.

Everyone made their way to the gaming area and on their consoles there was a note:

Hello Gamers, today the game that you will be playing is Monsters and Crime 5. Good luck!

The loud voice spoke over the speakers: "Gamers, you may now begin your battle for a place in the final".

Halfway through the games and there was sweat down half of the gamer's backs, and everyone was playing their hardest. It was the most stressful set off games yet, and it was right to be with what they were playing for.

As the games were nearing the end, it looked like Mega Domination was going to lose, but Alex managed to score a last hit that gained them enough points to beat the other team.

Thumbs of fury on the other hand were winning their game by far thanks to Lika's leadership. And it was because of this that they won their round with ease.

It was after this that Connor realised something, something he wished he spotted sooner. Lika was trying to take over his team. He texted Wendell and Franklin and told them about this, but told them not to tell Lika anything until after the tournament was over. They agreed and continued acting normal, and focused on winning Epking Extream.

"Congratulations to the winning teams: Thumbs of fury and Mega Domination" The voice on the speakers said."You have won your games and now it is time for you to play at your best, as surely the other team will be. The game twist will be told at the final showdown, good luck gamers!"

"Oh my god, that's my old team" Ashley exclaimed to her team.

"So crush them and forget about them" Alex said, immediately cheering Ashley up.

"Connor, that's Ashley's team right?" Franklin asked him.

"Yeah but that shouldn't matter. Just think of them as another team for us to beat." Connor said, while the rest of his team nodded in agreement.

So both teams went to eat, sitting at opposing ends of the dining hall facing each other while eating, staring each other down. All while trying to think what the last twist of Epking Extream could be.
