You lazily opened your eyes and yawned, you rolled over and your sight drifted to the beam of sunlight that pored in from an open curtain. You watched as the dust particles floated and danced around.
With a sigh you got up and stretched, dragging yourself to the shower. After doing the necessities you turned off the shower to go pick an outfit (picture above) and styled your hair, jogging down to make breakfast you said good morning to your caregiver (I'm giving you the choice. Mom, dad, aunt, etc.) it's Thursday which means you'll be picking up Carmensita after school. You've been teaching her the violin for two months and you've gotten really close, with both her and her dad.
You made your way outside, shivering and pulling your coat on more. Why do you have to wake up so early and walk in the cold?! Plugging your earbuds into your phone, you started blasting music. You sighed as you entered the building, you unplugged your earbuds and made your way to your locker, grabbing your things you went to the first class of the day.

You waltzed down the street to Carmensitas school, she saw you and smiled, running up and giving you a hug. Which you gladly returned.
"Hey kiddo, how was school?" You asked you guys walked.
"It's was okay, I made more flower crowns. And a special one just for you" she reached into her book bag and pulled out a flower crown made of (favorite flower(s)) you smiled as you took of your hat and placed it on her head, you took the flower crown and situated it on top of your hair.
"It's perfect, I love it!" You clapped you hands together like a child, making the girl giggle.
"I'm glad you like it (your name)" she smiled widely, you both made it to Mat's house and took out your violins. You tuned your violins and rosined up your bows, Carmensita adjusted her violin on her shoulder.
"Have you been practicing?" You asked, adjusting your own violin.
She nodded and brought out the sheet music for 'hallelujah'
"Yeah, except i don't think my F sounds right.." she furrowed her brows
"Hey that's okay, lemme see" she played the note and you reached out and placed her fingers in the correct places.
"Perfect" you guys practiced for awhile, you heard the door open and in strolled Mat.
"Hey girls" he smiled and waved, you looked at your phone and realized it was already 7pm
"Well, I gotta go. You're doing great Carmensita keep practicing, pick a song and we'll work on it next time" you smiled and hugged the girl, she nodded and hugged back.
"Hey (your name) you wanna ride back? It's getting pretty dark" Mat called from the other room
"It's not safe, of course your getting a ride" he chuckled and grabbed his keys.
"If it's not too much trouble" you smiled
"Not at all" You waved bye at Carmensita once more as you both made your way out the door, you stepped into the car and buckled up. Mat did the same and started the engine, pulling out of the drive way and out of the cul-de-sac. The drive was short and filled with comfortable silence and smooth, quiet music coming from the radio.
Mat cleared his throat "I wanted to thank you. For everything. I've never seen Carmensita so happy, and it's nice to have someone else to be there for her. You can't always tell your dad everything, you know? Anyways, thanks for being someone she can connect with" he smiled softly at the end, which you returned.
"It's my pleasure, Mat" he pulled into your driveway and looked over at you, you slung your backpack over your shoulder and opened the door.
"Oh, one more thing" you looked at him
"I'm going to go see PUP, think you'd like to join me?" He asked
"I'd love too, see you later Mat" you shut the door
"Pick you up at 8" he said as he drove away, you unlocked the door and shut it behind you. Being greeted by (pet) you chuckled and have them love, walking up stairs to go to bed.
