Wyatt's POV

No one has heard from Devin. We have been getting updates from people in town saying Devin is buying supplies to board up the bar and working with Arson investigators and contractor to get the place back up and running. But all texts and phone calls have gone unanswered.

None of us want to leave the hospital in case Delaney wakes up. Sawyer and I have told her the news about the rebuilding and investigation of the bar. Just talking about anything hoping she can hear us and come back to us.

The older man that was trapped in the bar is Jack, Delaney's father. He was cleared shortly after they took Delaney back, mild smoke inhalation and minor bruising and abrasion.

Delaney on the other hand, has a concussion and brain swelling due from the explosion of the gas tanks for the beer. Her stubborn ass wouldn't move because of her fear for her father that might have been trapped in the bar.

Three days without being able to look into her eyes, hear her voice, or being able to hold her. Whenever she gets out of here her ass is going to be red.

Delaney's POV

The dark takes more time than the light. time passes but it means little.

The constant beeping each time the light comes assures me that I am being taken care of in a hospital. The male voices that reverberate through the light change but a feeling settles that one is missing.

The urge to move is strong and I try to move my arm to my chest to relieve the aching, the only thing that does move is my twitching index finger.

This movement causes me to brush something warm and scratchy. Repeating my attempt to move my arm gives the same result. My index finger twitching meeting the same rough texture.

The beeping gains tempo and  groaning fills the room.  Rustling continues as my struggles goes on.  My struggle towards the light becomes weaker as my eyes open to the brightness of the room the blurs [transform=come together] into the form of Sawyer.

"Darling, Del look at me. Wyatt went to go get the nurse and your dad is in the waiting room."

Devin, Where is Devin? I think unable to voice my question.

The approaching darkness settles in to take me away before o can see all of my guys.

Devin where is he?

A deep rumble answers, " He's okay. I'll call him."

He isn't here.  He wasn't at the bar it had to be someone else that came back with my father.  I let unconsciousness take me to the darkness as these thought flow.

Sawyer's POV

The wait for her to wake up has been three days. Three long days taking turns with Wyatt and her father, Jack.

Her fingers brushing my face I could feel in my dreams but the feeling of those dainty fingers against my unshaven jaw was too real.  Startling awake to feel and see her finger moving which is more than has happened in the past few days.

To know that she is able to respond is a relief. The first day she was admitted we were all convinced she wouldn't wake up at all.

Letting her know that all... well most of us are here I imagine but with her whispered pleas for Devin I know she can tell he isn't here and I cant bear to tell her he hasn't been here at all.
