Dear Journal,

I want to tell my mum everything, how I feel like a girl, but I just can't! She wants this picture-perfect family and she wants our family to have no drama. We're royalty. We have to be perfect. That's our job. Look perfect, run the country, be perfect.

It's just so difficult. I'm tired of pretending to be Liam when I'm just... not. I'm not Liam, I'm not a prince, I'm not a boy. I am Leelah, a princess, a girl. I want to be pretty, not handsome. Girly, not manly.

Of course, nobody would understand that.

"Liam, what is this?"

xx
