"Your highness, where did your husband and son go?" A reporter asks on the television. The screen shows my mum.
"I don't know," she sobs. "It's all my fault, I couldn't accept that he was transgender."
"Your husband?" The reporter asks. She shoves the microphone in her face.
"Liam. Liam told me that he was transgender, that he was a girl, Leelah. Princess Leelah. I told him that he was crazy and that we would fix him by putting him in therapy, and now he's gone."
"If your husband and Princess Leelah were watching, what would you say to them?"
Mum looks up and glares into the camera. She laughs maniacally, "you think I really care? That boy is a psycho. He's mentally ill if he thinks that he's a girl. I don't want him in my family. I will never accept him as a girl. You may be The Missing Princess, Liam, but I do not miss you."
