I walked into my room and grabbed a towel and walked into the bath room. I stopped and looked in the mirror at my reflection and gasped. Staring back at me was a girl who looked ten times stronger than she ever was. I smiled and started the shower. I got into the shower and let the water wash all the blood off of me and let the tension out.
I didn’t hear the door open until I felt a pair of arms around my waist. I gasped and turned around coming face to face with Lucas. I relaxed and smiled at him.
“Sorry hun, I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“It’s okay Lucas. Just a little jumpy after everything that has happened to me and especially after today.”
“I don’t blame you at all Addie. You have been through a lot these past couple years. I’m sorry I haven’t been there for you and wasn’t able to stop any of it.”
I grabbed Lucas’s face between my hands and kissed him on the lips. I pulled back and looked at him.
“Lucas, you did what you could with everything. I didn’t want you in the middle of it. I don’t know why these things happened or why it was meant to work out this way but I do know one thing. I’m so unbelievably happy that you are my mate and we are about to have a pup.”
Lucas looked up at me with those words and smiled.
“Addie I’m so glad we are mates. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be my mate and I can’t wait until we have our pup. I love you Adelaide Michelle.”
“I love you too Lucas Gabriel.”
Lucas looked down at my stomach which is starting to grow and put his hands on it. His face lit up with such excitement and he looked back up at me and kissed me on the lips.
“Let’s get a shower. We got a party starting here soon and as the Alpha I don’t want to be late for it.”
Lucas chuckled at me and we got out shower. Lucas washed my hair for me and it felt so good. I helped him wash his hair and we took turns washing our own bodies while laughing at the other one trying to be as quick as possible. Lucas stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his lower region and handed me a towel as I stepped out.
“Thank you Lucas.”
“Welcome Addie. Now lets go figure out what we are going to wear for this party that you had to have.”
I laughed at him. He never was a partier when we were younger and the other pack members would have a party. It made me happy that he was like that because I know I never had to worry about any other girl in his life even before we found out we were mates and just friends.
“I needed to Lucas. I needed the other packs to know that things are going to be different around here and to let the other members have a chance of finding their mates. I don’t want someone to not have a chance to find their mates. Some aren’t as lucky as I am.”
Lucas closed the gap between us and pulled be against him. He put his hand behind my head and kissed me like it was the last kiss we would share. We broke apart and I looked in his eyes.
“Come on we need to get ready.” I chuckled when I heard him growl at me.
I walked over to my dresser and grabbed out my black lace bra and matching underwear. I dried the rest of my body off and slipped them both on. I turned around and came face to face with a dark eyed Lucas. I went to go step to the side and he grabbed me.
“Lucas come on. We have a party to get ready for. Can’t we save this for later?”
“No Adelaide this can’t wait until later.”
I gasped at then when I heard my wolf talking to me.
That’s not Lucas speaking to you. It’s his wolf talking to you right now. I think his wolf has gone into over drive. You two had that moment at the lake, your pregnant now with his pup and you killed Nathaniel and on top of it all you just were naked like that in front of him. He wants to mark what is his.
How do I get Lucas back? I hate that his wolf has taken over and just want him back right now.
Adelaide I think you’re going to have to let him mark you. Let him bite your neck and he should let Lucas back.
I nodded my head knowing that my wolf knew it was meant for her telling her I understood what I had to do. I walked up against Lucas and wrapped my arms around his neck. I really wish this was Lucas that was going to mark me but I just want him back right now. I kissed him on the lips and ran my fingers through his hair. I felt his arms snake around my waist and felt his lips start to move against mine. I pulled away and stood up on my tippy toes to whisper in his ear.
“Mark me.”
In an instant I felt his lips against the base of my neck and I felt his teeth lengthen. Two seconds later I felt his teeth sink into my neck. I gasped at the pain but then I felt the best feeling in the world travel through my body. I felt him cleaning it with his tongue and step back. Everything started going black, before I blacked out I felt arms wrap around me.
