“You stupid stupid girl! Why couldn’t you stay pure? You went and had to have sex with him!!!!”
I stiffened up when he said that and an evil smirk spread across his face.
“What didn’t you think I would find out about you sleeping with him by the lake? I also know about the little pup that you are now carrying. That was supposed to be my pup you are carrying not his!”
He walked towards me and I started stepping back away from him. He kept going until I was up against the wall. He put his hands around my throat and started choking me. He threw me to the ground and went to kick me. I covered my stomach with my hands protecting my pup. He kept kicking me.
“Stop!! Please stop!! Let my pup live!”
He kicked me again and again. He was yelling and screaming at me. I was screaming for someone to save me. He went to kick me in the stomach and this time I knew it wouldn’t be like the last time. I screamed.
I sat straight up in bed screaming. I felt arms around me and I threw them off of me.
“Get away from me! Please don’t hurt my pup. Please!”
“Addie. It’s Lucas. Baby calm down.”
I felt his arms wrap around me again and I leaned my head into his chest and started crying.
“Lucas it was horrible. I was dreaming of Nathaniel and he found out everything and he went to go kill our pup. He went to kick me again and that’s when I woke up.”
I started crying even harder. Lucas kissed me on the forehead and hugged me tighter.
“Addie shhh baby it’s okay. He is gone from here. He will never hurt you or our pup. I promise you nothing will happen to you two. I love you so much Addie.”
“I know Lucas it was just so scary. It was so unreal that it felt as if it was real from the beginning.”
I sat up and looked at the clock. It was 20 minutes before the party started and I wasn’t even ready.
“Lucas the party! I’m not even ready at all.”
“Addie calm down. You passed and have been sleeping. I felt so bad that this happened. I never meant for you to be marked like that. I wanted it to be special. I couldn’t stop…”
“Lucas it’s okay I promise you that. I know you have no control over your wolf. It was only protecting what was his. My wolf told me all about it and I did what I had to do to bring you back.”
Lucas kissed me and I kissed him back. I heard music start playing downstairs and I knew the party was starting. I jumped up and ran to my closet and almost fell to the floor but I felt Lucas’s arms around me.
“Whoa Addie. Take it easy there.”
Lucas kept his arms around me and helped me walk to my closet to look for something to wear. I searched and searched until I found the perfect outfit to wear for the party. I finally found it and it was perfect. Everyone looks great in a little black dress. I grabbed it out of my closet along with my black heels.
“Lucas go get ready silly.”
“Addie I don’t want to leave you in here alone.”
“Lucas I will be fine I promise you that. I’m just going to get dressed and do my hair.”
“Okay don’t do anything else but get ready. I will be back here in five minutes.”
