Background: Gabriela was born in Florence, Italy. Her father had moved to the country because of work and he met Gabriela's mother there. She worked as a guide at the Uffizi Gallery and was assigned to the group where Gabriela's father was. Seven years later, they were happily married with a child. They stayed in Florence until the girl was seven years old then they moved back to Korea, still because of her father's job. Here Gabriela was taught to love and appreciate art in all her forms. He mother used to bring her to every art exposition that took place in Busan, and his father always provided her tickets for the best musicals. Mainly because of that Gabriela decided that she wanted to pursue a career that included a form of art. At first she tried with painting, but she soon discovered that it wasn't for her, her "masterpieces" were nothing compared to the ones that she loved to stare at in the big museums her mother took her to. Then it was the time for poetry, but it didn't last long either because she couldn't even find a simple rhyme and the only thing she wrote was actually "roses are red, violets are blue, I feel stupid writing this, and you know it too". In the end she decided to try and take dance lessons and it became her passion. She loved to recreate the choreographies of her favorite k-pop groups, she loved them so much that she started to think about becoming an idol herself. She quickly signed up to have some singing lessons and discovered that she wasn't as bad as she thought, in fact, she was quite good and it surprised her a lot. That gave her the courage and the confidence to audition at Majesty Music Entertainment, where she get in with no problems.
