Capable Of Murder...But Not Love

Prologue

    Good evening, I am Angelica Bates with channel 4 news. It is currently 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. I am currently standing in front of Mayor Goodman's home and as you can see from the numerous amount of police vehicles behind me, tragedy has struck our small town of Woodpines.

Just hours ago at 8:13 p.m. our beloved mayor Patrick Goodman was maliciously stabbed and murdered in his own home by an unknown assailant.

Approximately two hours ago a frantic Stephanie Goodman called 9-1-1 to report the murder of her late husband. And here at channel 4 news, we were able to receive the audio footage of the 9-1-1 call Stephanie Goodman made just hours ago, and i say with great caution...Viewer Discretion is Advised...

DISPATCHER: 9-1-1 what is your emerge-

STEPHANIE: [heavy breathing] OH GOD! PL-PLEASE HELP! I-I...[heavy breathing]

DISPATCHER: okay ma'am, can you take a deep breath for me and tell me what's wrong.

STEPHANIE:...[inaudible noise]...[glass shattering]...

DISPATCHER: ma'am...ma'am are you still there?

STEPHANIE:...[hysterical crying] blood...blood...blood...blood everywher- OH GOD SO MUCH BLOOD! I CAN'T GET IT OFF ME! I-I-I [hysterical crying]

DISPATCHER: Okay Ma'am, I'm tracking your location right now. Can you tell me your name ma'am?

STEPHANIE: ... Stephanie...St-Stephanie Goodman... Please hurry, My Husband he-[muttering voices]....

DISPATCHER: Hello? Stephanie? Stephanie, the ambulance and police are on their way right now.

STEPHANIE: [Static]...

DISPATCHER: Stephanie? Stephanie?

STEPHANIE: [glass shattering] NOOOOOOOOO! STOOOP PLEA- [phone disconnects]

Since then, we have been told by Officer Colt, our local town hero who was one of the first officers to arrive at the scene of the crime that quote"...This is hands down the worst thing I have ever witnessed in all my 14 years of being an officer in Woodpines. Five other officers and I arrived at the Goodman's home at around 8:35 to discover that not only was the front door unlocked, but that the furniture was destroyed and thrown about the room. There were glass fragments of various sizes scattered all throughout the room, and there was not a single spot in that entire house where you did not see at least a spot of blood". End quote.

We also have word that after the police, fire department, and ambulance arrived to the scene both Stephanie Goodman the wife of our late mayor and Cree Goodman the daughter of our late mayor were escorted to Memorial Hospital for further observation. It is unknown on whether officers have questioned Stephanie Goodman and her daughter Cree regarding tonight's horrific events.

But, it seems as though- what...okay, I am just now being told by my producers that Stephanie Goodman has just been admitted into the hospital for minor cuts on her hands and feet. As well as, cracked ribs and major bruising along her abdomen area and is in critical condition.

I am also being told that Cree Goodman is also being admitted into the hospital for several fractured ribs, severe cuts and bruises along her cranium, abdomen, and back. As well as first-degree burns on her hands and feet and like her mother is in critical condition.

Since then no statements from either of the surviving Goodmans or their lawyer have been released. Rest to sure though, we will have more on this story soon, but in the meantime our prayers go out to the Goodman family.
