Operation Takedown

Chapter 9 : The Deal

I was staring at my pastel colored schedule and smiled, I still had one more day before classes actually started.

And I did need to talk to Brad, Lily, and Nate. Just not at the same time.

Boy, would that cause problems.

I looked in the large mirror once more before leaving.  White jeans, pink flats, white Nikes. My long hair in a french braid.

I open the door deciding to visit Nate first, he lived in the yellow halls and he told me people were barely up at this time in the morning. Six o'clock to be exact.

There is a reason why im up this early, it would drag away the suspicions of me visiting three dorms at twelve in the afternoon, I had time.

I find the door im looking for and knock once, everyone in the university has a roommate, except for Nate, at least it makes it easier for me.

After a while I knock again but a little louder. Im not sure if Lily was right about the people here and im not trying to find out.

The door opens and bed-head Nate looks at me.

" Alex, seriously im tired and you coming here at ni-." I cut him off by placing my hand on his mouth and move in without him letting me.

Nate was a serious sight! His hair stuck up in different directions and his white pajama tee was on backwards and his blue checkered pants had many orange stains on them.

" You look, well, horrible. " I say with a smile.  He gives me a fake smile and sits next to me, he looked like Sam Boggs just the blonde hair version.

" Need I remind you that not everybody gets up before the sun rises." I roll my eyes and lay back on his pillow.

" Where's your roomate?" I ask. Nate raises an eyebrow and runs his hands through his hair. " Doesn't matter, what's

up with you here anyway. Plus I dont have one remember?"

I pretend like I dont here his comment and start with my statement. " Well as you know of that horrible incident at the party,  and I just wanted to ask if your okay with being around me still, and if anything changed."

Nate looked confused and rolled his eyes then placed his arm around my shoulders. " Well,  for starters,  your here and I haven't kicked you out at least..yet, so of course im fine with you still being around." I chuckled and sighed waiting for him to finish.

" I think some people know who pulled a string for those buckets but I didnt try to ask, but our university doesn't hold onto things like that, so whoever tried to sabatoge your life failed." He finished.

I move his arm and smile. " That's exactly what Lily told me, I just wanted to know if you were fine with me being around." I smile and stand up.

Nate opens the door for me and smiles, "Now is the part where I kick you out." I laugh and hug Nate.

I was a safe distance away whwn I heard his door shut behind him. Next was Lilys dorm amd I was sure it was six doors away from Nates adding one more across.

I repeat the process on Lilys door that I'd done with Nates. She answers immediately which doesn't suprise me since Lily is one of those bi-polar girls.

She'll change her whole body if she had to. Lily motions me to come inside as I study her outfit. Green pants, black shirt and matching shoes. But her hair was somehow...Pink.

" Lily what have you done with your hair!" I whispered shrieked.  I could see her roomate all snuggled up on blankets across the room. " I'll tell you in the morning, just tell me what you came here for, I expected you anyway when you left me hanging at the party."

I guess Lily is also one of those 'always informed' type girls too, so I smiled and nodded. I had to get to Brad before people starting roaming the halls.

" Are you cool with hanging around me still?" I questioned.

" Alex, you have to be the stupidest person ever because if I'm speaking to you as in now, of course im okay with it."

I mentally face palm myself, I really need to stop asking those type of questions. Of course shes okay with it. Otherwise, Lily wouldn't have let me in.

"Okay, well do you know who toke the picture?" I let that spit out before I could stop it, I was saving that for Brad, but any answer was as good as any.

Lily places her hands on her hips and looks at me thoughtfully.  " No, I didn't see a picture. But what I do know is that some people are against you, they saw the problem at the party. I guess im kinda wrong about everybody at the University so they'll be bullying you non-stop, I mean if you can end it."

" How do you know all this?"

" Im an informed person."

" How informed?"

" You dont wanna know."

I laughed and tried quiet down but who cared who woke up now.

"Alright, I think you should go, I still have alot of outfits to decide on today." I nod my head giving Lily a hug on the way out.

I was in the red hall now looking for the door I so badly despised of. I wasn't going to be able to knock because the door already flew open showing Brad Jones.

" Alex! I new you would be back for me one day!" Brad exclaimed puckering his lips.  I scoff and move around him to sit on his bed.

" Oh, that's a good spot too." He closes the door and sits down.

" Im here for something a little more serious, Brad I need answers and I know you have them."

" It depends on the topic."

" The party last night."

" Ha ha, I loved the water part."

I punch Brad in the arm and laugh a little. " Do you know who toke the picture?" I ask. " I think it was Summer, I saw her and some girls laughing over something on a phone."

My eyes widen in shock. That shouldve been my first guess. Summer is the sneaky one. Gosh, now I had to put it up with her.

" I..have to go, I'll text you maybe." I say letting myself out.  When I was in the safety of my dorm I text Brad right away

We need to make a deal, operation takedown! we need to bring down Summer and I want your help.

Ugh, that was so like Brad to bring up the past.  At least he agreed to the deal.  I needed to make Summer taste her own medicine. Truth Is I wasnt always a nerd.

Not until Brad came.

He made fun of me everyday in high school after we went out. He turned the whole school against me until I was one of those lowlifes.

Now, he wants to kiss and make up.  Ha, like ever.

I guess tomorrow would be a good day to discuss a plan with him. I have to make up my mind if I plan to introduce him to Lily and Nate.

Brad is popular, so introducing him to lower people might not be such a good idea.

Man, im lucky enough that he still talks to me.

oh yeah I almost forgot, I got the name Summer Merricks from a book and a game. ive read about Summer in one book I got Merrick from call of duty ghost, so yeah that explains it.
