Wally’s Pov
I was on edge, and the rest of the pack was on edge. It was now Saturday night and there was still no sight of Malia. The pack was working in shifts and I was spending my time between working with the pack and staying with the Kents and working with the humans. I had a hard time controlling my wolf and I had on more than one occasion had to run to the woods to shift. I was sitting at the table with Mrs. K when I heard Jack, one of the lower ranking wolfs howl, alerting the rest of us he found something. Without so much as a word I bolted to the woods and shifted.
“What did you find?” I demanded, as I felt Damion and Jason shift seconds later.
“We found Mrs. Kents car parked at the strip stores over in Quincy, and the scent from the Rogues were around the car,” he said.
I growled and took off in a fast run. I was soon joined by both Damion and Jason who flanked my sides.
“I sent Emily to let the Kents and Police know where to look,” Damion said as he kept pace with me.
We made it to the stores in 20 minutes at full run and we shifted back to get a closer look at the car. Damion and I walked around trying to catch the Rogue’s trail and Jason checked the car out.
“Ugh! Their scent just disappears!” I yelled.
“They had a car with them,” Jason said.
“It’s close to midnight, we’ll search the sounding area then I’ll have Jack and his group take over,” Damion said as we shifted and split up and headed off into different areas.
Malia’s POV
The next time that I woke up I was tied to a chair in a dark room with no windows. I could feel something on the side of my face and I had a headache. I could hear muffled voices on the other side of the door. I started to try to get my hands free from behind me but before I could make any leeway the door slammed open and two guys walked in. One was the guy that nabbed me but I didn’t recognize who other was. The guy that nabbed me stood by the door while the other guy took a seat in the chair that was across the room.
“I want the Alpha,” he demanded.
“What?” I asked, not understanding what he wanted.
“Don’t play dumb, we’ve seen you with the Beta. Where’s the Alpha?” he asked again.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I yelled back at him.
The man got up and paced around before coming to stop behind the chair he was just sitting in. I flinched when he threw the chair across the room and screamed for me to answer him. I started to cry as I kept repeating I didn’t know what he was talking about. After a while, when he realised he wasn’t going to get anything from me, the both of them left and I was left alone.
I continued to cry.
It took me a few minutes to calm down, I didn’t want to have a panic attack while I was trapped who knows where. I wasn’t even sure how many hours had passed, weather it was still Friday or Saturday. Both of the men would come back every once in a while to ask me more questions but after a while I stopped answering them, which made them angry, and which I got a few hits for.
The entire time I was working away at trying to slip my hands out of the bonds and looking around to find something, anything, to use as a weapon. I spotted my bag sitting in the corner and started to work even harder to get my hands free to get to it, hoping that I had something in there that can be of some use.
I worked for a few more minutes before I was able to loosen the ropes, and slipped my hands out. I ran to the corner and started to go through my bag. I cursed myself for not having anything sharp, but I froze when I saw what I had left in my bag from school. I stood and hid in the other corner behind the door waiting for when they came back, praying that only one of them came this time.
I didn’t have to wait long till I herd footsteps. I guess luck was on my side, as it was only the guy that had nabbed me. I tightened my hands around my chosen weapon and held my breath as the door opened. Once I had a clear view, I sung with all I had and wacked the guy in the back of the head and cheered when he went down.
“Thank you Chemistry textbook,” I said to myself as I dropped the book and made a mad dash out of the room. I followed the hallway and at the end was a door. I busted through and found myself standing in the forest. I looked around trying to figure out which way to go, before bolting off.
