Mikhail was getting tired with nothing to do. He was supposed to be alpha for the Midnight Moon pack, not some little girl who just decided that she was the chosen one.

With the girl in the way, Mikhail would not be able to get his rightful place as alpha. Why did things have to be so complicated? He thought.

He looked at the witch with her glass ball. It was forming a faint image of a house in town.

" There's something there that's very important." She whispered.

Mikhail looked at the glass ball and saw a boys figure flickering in the glass.

" It's a bloody boy!" she screamed in delight.

" So what if it's a bloody boy, this is not helping my case." Mikhail growled.

The witch's excited eyes turned to Mikhail.

" It has everything to do with you!"

" You were supposed to help me get my rightful place as alpha!" He yelled.

" I am!" She yelled back. " This boy will help you. I'll explain the rest later on but we need that boy."

As the servants rushed to their mistress's demand, he looked at the boy closely. Tall and pale with dull brown eyes and hair. What's so special about this one? He asked himself.

" The boy is the key Mikhail." She said.

" How is this thing the key? What key are you even talking about Witch?" He spat the last word in disgust.

The witch scowled at him and turned around swiftly before disappearing.

      Is she serious? Mikhail thought.

He looked at the crystal ball and saw the faint image of the boy and decided he should pay a visit to the Key.

He scoured the premises of the house he knew belonged to the boy but he could not get through. There was some strange substance blocking his passage and he was not amused.

He pushed harder and harder but could not get through. He sniffed at the powdery substance and smelled the familiar smell of mountain ash.

This house belongs to humans he said to himself. There was no way they could know that this substance keeps us out.

He saw the mother through one of the windows and growled lowly. He retreated back to the woods before anyone noticed him lurking.
