So my car broke down, crack in the engine, so I walked
for what seemed like miles and miles away from you
swear I'm growing too old for this type of exercise
too much patience with myself these days, where's the rush
in believing in myself when I have you saying these lies
to gas me up, to get me high on car exhaust, much like the four thousand
dollars I don't have to spend on my car's new engine, yeah, Betsy's dead
(hah, in retrospect, I read Ysolda's works and thought I'd post my woes, again, again)So I walked to work. I walked and I walked, then I walked back, that was October 2017
Halloween was around the corner, that's when you gut my insides out
and put a face on my own I didn't choose to wear, but we had to play the part
and I wanted to tell you after driving home from that disastrous party my car
finally diedand now that it's a year later
i tell you
go, go love
go in love
love in the absence of me
and let me drain
through the abscesses
of your rotting lies
