Chapter 5

I wake up to find myself in a white room. I focus my eyes to see Jack G and Sam sitting in the chairs next to me.

"Your up! Oh my god thank god your up!" Jack G says.

"What happened?" I ask.

"You had another asthma attack" sam says.

"How?" I ask.

"You were chasing me after school" Jack says.

"Oh yeah" i say holding the ice pack to my head.

"Ill tell the doctor your up" sam says exiting the room.

"You scared the shit out of me!" He says.

"Look it wasnt only the asthma, it was also anxiety and..." I say trailing off.

"Trin please dont tell me you took pills" he says and i stare at the ground.

"Trin!" He says.

"Please dont tell anyone jack! Please!" I cry.

"Trin, why?" He asks.

"I told you! I cant tell you!" I say.

"Give me them" he says and i shake my head.

Then he takes my purse. I try to take it away but my body hurts too much.

He takes the bottle and jiggles it in my face and puts it in his pocket.

"Why were you chasing me?" He asks.

"Because i wanted to tell you, yes" i say.

"Yes? For what?" He asks.

"Homecoming" i say.

"But what about 'jack jjj" he says mocking me.

"I told him what you told me to do, i mean i could always still go with him" i say.

"NO!" Jack says and i laugh.

Then the nurse ans Sam come back.

"So all your tests seem fine so your probably good to go" she says, smiling.

"Ok, thanks" i say.

"Bye jack, thanks for wasting your time with me" i say hugging him.

"Im not wasting my time" he laughs and i smile.

"Trin cmon!" Sam says.

"Do you need a ride?" I ask.

"No im good ill just walk" he says.

"Come on" i say grabbing his wrist and walk to the car.

"Can we drive jack home?" I ask.

"Yeah" sam says starting the car.

"So Trin, you going to homecoming?" Sam asks and i nod.

"Who are you taking?" He asks.

"Me" Jack says.

"Cool" Sam says pulling up to Jacks driveway.

"Well i guess ill see you Saturday" i say.

"You arent going to school tomorrow?" Jack asks.

"Nah my moms are probably gonna make me stay home" i say.

"Ok well, ill pick you up at 6:00 on saturday?" He asks.

"Sounds good" i say smiling, watching him walk into the house.

"Oooooh Trinity has a boyfriendd" Sam says.

"He isnt my boyfriend." I say.

"He likes you, and i know you like him" he says.

"well your wrong" i say.

We get home and i go into the house.

"Trin are you ok?!" My moms ask rushing up to me.

"Yeah im fine" i say.

"Are you staying home tomorrow?" My mom asks.

"Yeah because i need to go shopping for a dress" i say.

"Well in that case im not letting you stay home. What do u need a dress for anyways?" She asks.

"But mom! I need it for homecoming!" I says.

"Homecoming? Who are you going with?" She asks.

"Shes going with Jack" sam says walking in.

"Ugh, fine" my moms say.

"Thank you!!!" I say running upstairs to my room.

We enter the first dress shop we could find called Windsor. I dont usually shop for dresses so it seems a bit unusual.

We look around the store and the first dress i find is blue and is midthigh. Its strapless and is beaded and embroidered at the waist and the rim of the dress.

I look in the mirror and it looks too bright for me, im more of a dark colored person. I take it off and look around again.

The next one is pink and longer. The bottom isnt poofy but its flary and wavy.

It has one shoulder and the waist is a black embroidered belt thing.

I look in the mirror and the black counter-acts all the pink.

"I love it" i say to myself.

I walk out of the dressing room and show my mom.

She smiles at me and hugs me.

"You look so beautiful" she says.

"Thanks" i say.

"Do you want this dress?" She asks and i nod.

I take it off and put back on my regular clothes.

The shoes i buy are black flats with bows on the tip.

Together they cost $150. I thought they would be way more but im glad their not.

"Are you excited?" My mom asks as we leave and i nod. I know i decided to go with the right guy. And this will be a night to remember.
